Stopped by on a business trip and wouldn't have expected to find such a gem in a small town. Great food and excellent wine recommendations from the waitress.

Eine nette Umgebung, bereits, wenn man das alte Treppenhaus emporsteigt. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und stets präsent. Das Essen allerdings war lediglich guter Durchschnitt. Currysuppe mit Garnelen, ein riesengroÃer Beilagensalat und eine Portion Wiener Schnitzel, bestehend aus 2 üppig dimensionierten Einzelteilen, pommes Frittes und Fertigsauce. Geschmacklich eher fad, zumindest ohne Kreativität. Für Freunde riesiger Doggybag-Portionen und ohne kulinarische Ansprüche. Wegen des netten Service gerade noch 4 Punkte.

We stumbled upon this place coincidentally. But we were very pleased with the food. Creative venison dishes, good gravies and sauces and scrumptious, buttery egg-Spätzle. The drinks were cold and sparkly as they should be. Salads were included and the prices were reasonable. One oddity: The main dining room inside is for smoking patrons! This is a rare sight for Germany that has passed universal smoking bans in dining establishments, but this place has somehow created an exception. We sat outside, so it did not bother us. Apparently, there are also separate non-smoking indoor rooms. We'll be back next time we're close.

We happened upon the place after wandering around for a while looking for somewhere suitable for a family with teenagers and a baby. We spotted the nice outdoor seating areas and it was clearly popular so after speaking to the friendly waitress with good English we decided to have a drink inside and wait for an outdoor table. We had schnitzel, macaroni cheese, stuffed pasta and pork medallions, all of which were well cooked, good portions and a fair price. We've had better mac & cheese in Germany and there was some confusion over which meals on the menu were available or not but overall I'd definitely recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Weinstube Grimm. Not dealing German when the menu wasn't in English wasn't a problem as the waiter was very helpfulBoth our dishes were tasty and well presented. Veal and beef rouladen. Would recommend.
