The St. Vith was recommended to us while staying at the Leonardo Hotel in Monchengladbach recently. Only a short walk through the church from the hotel which was ideal. We ordered the Schnitzels which were delicious. The service was somewhat slow for the hungry men on our table but still a wonderful meal and atmosphere.

I don't even know how anyone would find this place if they are not a local or go there with a local. That said, I was lucky enough to experience this restaurant. This is a Bavarian type gem hidden in the alleys of Liedberg. You will love the ambiance and friendly resident owner who talks to his guests. Tip: if you want to sit in the front, where it is a little warmer on a winter night, you have to call ahead and reserve a tableâ¦walk ins will be sent to the rear dining hall. There is also a bar. The food was good. Somethings were great, and others, eh. For example, the deer goulash was great(if you like wild game), but the knödel that came with it was unremarkable. The soup was like a fabulous goulash itself, but the schnitzel was over cooked, dry and tough (and that is not excusable in a restaurant that is otherwise making excellent dishes).I would definitely go back for the whole experience and to catch up on the rumors of the local castle being renovated

Nice atmosphere, good food and very pleasant service make this Italian restaurant a must when in the area. The location is beautiful and gives its best especially on sunny days when it's possible to enjoy the terrace. The food is very well done but the selection is quite limited, only pasta and pizzas but with a lot of different sauces/toppings. Prices are roughly 15-20 EUR pp with a drink.I would definitely recommend this place.

Wir sind mehr zufällig bei Kreuels gelandet: letztes Jahr neu zugezogen wollten wir mal die ortsansässigen Gaststätten probieren.Die Bedienung ist freundlich und sehr aufmerksam.Man kann in einem zur StraÃe offenen Hof lauschig drauÃen sitzen.Das Essen wird zügig serviert und schmeckt sehr gut.Sowohl das Schnitzel mit Zwiebeln (von mir gegessen) als auch das mit Paprika (bei meiner Frau probiert) schmecken sehr gut.Da werden wir nochmal hingehen.

We've been here 3 times. Staff very friendly. Food is ok. Wine is good. But the price for what you get is way too much. We pay around â¬120-140 for 2 people - this includes a bottle of wine and mineral water. But there are better places in the area for a much lower price. If the food was slightly better and the prices a little lower then this would be worth 5 stars. Love the staff - keep up the good work.

During that last fortnight we had 2dinner at the restaurant and were more than happy both times. The service was very friendly and efficient, food was good, well presented and plentiful ( very important in Germany, as we found out). Prices were OK, we talk here an a la card restaurant. We would happily come back for more, but we have to travel on.

We stumbled on this restaurant/bar at the suggestion of local friends and were amazed at the ambience, friendly service, and incredible food coming out of the open-concept kitchen. Owner Werner and his staff seem to take a personal interest in every detail and the menu is outstanding. He also runs a retail shop in the front, in case you want to take some wine, spirits, or gourmet food with you when you leave. If I have get back to Monchengladbach, I will surely return!

I went here with my wife and I have to say it was just like previous visits. The menu is only in Spanish and German, no English, and teh waitress did not speak any English. And of course, like all lazy Englishmenn, I speak very little German or Spanish. But the problems communicating were actually a positive leading to friendly banter and good amusment. And of course the problems were overcome sufficiently to order suitable food, which was nicely cooked and well presented. I'll definitely be going back

The menu offers a wide variety of Greek food, mostly meat dishes. As a (mostly) vegetarian I ate a Greek salad and a large serving of tzatziki. The people in my group all enjoyed their food.

The guest house is really a boutique hotel that is tastefully modern and thoughtfully planned. The decor is comfortably inviting. The shower is amazingly spacious and refreshing. The beds provide a restful sleep. There is a sitting area outside of the rooms which includes a well stocked bar with coffee, bottled waters, juices, beers, and wine for the enjoyment of guests at no extra charge. The outside garden and patio provide more spacious areas for relaxation. Breakfast is delicious with a variety of breads, rolls, cheeses, meats, and home-made jam. When you stay here you must enjoy a gourmet dinner experience. We ate on the outside patio surrounded by trees, flowers, and succulent plants. The food is all locally sourced and each menu item we tasted was scrumptious! My husband enjoyed beef, potatoes, apples, and hazelnuts while I had a baked white fish with fennel, potatoes, and lemon flavored fresh yogurt. Our server Emily was attentive, gracious, and very helpful and we thank her for recommending the a sampler of five desserts---creme brulee, chocolate mousse with raspberries and mint, poached pear in a hazelnut cream, lemon custard in homemade vanilla ice, and a strawberry sorbet. The restaurant has a large selection of lovely wines. Carmen and Frajo Stappen are fantastic hosts, creatively brilliant in all they bring to their customers--beauty, taste, comfort, and pleasure.
