It is and feels like a chain. The dishes are all of the kind that can be easily prepared, in advance. The drinks are good, the restaurant is professionally set-up with staff having tablets. Drinks and food come fast, payment is no issue of disputes. Its all electronic. The location is good, just opposite the bridge, coming from town or just before the bridge, coming from the Bahnhof (railway station).In summary, it is a 'safe' (and boring) place. There wont be surprises, good or bad.

This hidden little gem of a restaurant is around 15mins walk from the city center. Very cosy atmosphere, personal and friendly service, and good food. Try the proper Hungarian goulash soup!My only complaint: the portions are quite big! :) so if you're unsure, order too little rather than too much.

We´ve had an nice dinner and a breakfast there, both was very delicious! The place is very easy to find because it´s opposite the main train station heilbronn. Some nice hotels are around and in the same house as the restaurant they have a design hotel.A lot of people came in on sunday morning, so you should make a reservation in advance.

Wir wählten von der Karte : Bruchsaler Spargel mit milder Jaipur Currysauce und Atsina KresseZweierlei vom Wolfsbarsch und Seeteufel in Bouillabaissefond mit Fenchel-CouscousEingemachte Keule vom Charles Huhn vom Knochen gelöst mit Zitronenrisotta und jungen Spinat Dessert : Creme von weiÃer Schokolade mit Erdbeeren , Erdbeerensorbet , VerbenschaumDer Spargel kam sehr gut gegart an den Tisch . Die CurrysoÃe war sehr dezent und passte zum Spargel aber die Atsina Kresse mit dem Anisgeschmack war überflüssig .Wolfsbarsch und der Seeteufel harmonierten mit dem Bouillabaisse Fond der Fenchel - Couscos war i.o. .Das Charles Huhn mit der knusprigen Haut war sehr gelungen wie auch der Risotto und die SoÃe .Denn Nachtisch möchten wir nicht kommentieren .

Went there for dinner on a Friday night. We had a table just by the bar and kitchen, which was fine.The starters were excellent, fish eggs, grilled calamari, pureed egg plant. For the main dish we had ordered a plate for two. The meat was ok, four different types, the condiments were ok too. Not more, not less.When we paid and I checked the bill, I noticed that the bill included 2x glasses of red wine and 2x glasses of white. We had 1x each. Big greek discussion among four staff, in the end they deducted the 8 Euro from the bill.I wanted to pay with card, but was told that the connection of the machine was not working. ON A FRIDAY NIGHT! I paid cash, but the tip was rather small. I felt cheated and inconvenienced.

Had diner with my colleague. Place hasn't too much ambiance. For starter an antipasta plate, which was just some cut meat frim supermarket. No much variation. The entrecote we've ordere was well grilled, medium rare and tastefull. The vegetables and potatoes in the plate not really special. Service was ok. The wine Ripassa 2011 was superb. So for just a bite because you are travelling for bizz ok, but not really a place to experience an Italian evening with your beloved one for example

Was here with friends recently. Had a great time. The staff are warm and welcoming. Made us feel at home. We were offered complementary aperitifs on several occasions but we declined. I had gorgeous Greek red wine and one of the grill tellers which was delicious. Everyone enjoyed the food and atmosphere and the staff are so friendly. Will be back very soon. Well done to all concerned.

We had an unexpected great evening at the Eckstein Restaurant-Bar. Besides the nice food and drinks, it was the atmosphere that created a perfect evening. We chose the Ratskeller based on reviews, and it did not disappoint! The staff was friendly, intelligent, customer-focused and fun. The food was excellent (we had lovely starters, schnitzel and sauerbraten mains, sorbet and a lovely local wine). The restaurant is pretty- it was a hot night and sitting outside after 7 pm was perfect. We will definitely return the next time were in Heilbronn.
