We had a great dinner at the restaurant. We stayed at the hotel and managed to get a table for the same night (calling 30min in advance) even though the place was almost full. The service, food and recommended wines were amazing! Especially the octopus was absolutely perfect!

Venture down this white-washed vicolo off of Via Mercanti and enjoy authentic, fresh fish served by the friendly chef and his wife and daughter. We enjoyed trofie with pesto and clams, cooked to perfection, paccheri with Bacala’ and also spaghetti with clams. All cooked correctly and very tasty. This is NOT Italo- American- or Italo-German food - so don’t expect gigantic portions smothered in sauce. The portions are just right for a primo and then secondo - for secondo we had perfectly fried calamari and then eggplants. Delicious! With wine, water, and dessert and limoncello we spent 70 euro for three satisfied diners - that’s a deal!

We were staying at the hotel next door and didn’t want to venture out to dinner. While more expensive than we planned it was worth every cent. The service was impeccable, friendly and professional. The staff love what they do and respect the food they prepare and serve. The buffalo steak was excellent (order it rare!) as was the duck. Dear Anabelle, thank you very much for taking the time to post a comment about your experience at Tre Olivi Restaurant in Paestum. We are pleased to learn that you were satisfied with the overall services and with our food! Thank you, we are looking forward to welcome you back again in the near future. Best regards!

I went here in July 2013 actually and it was great for me because I was so sick of pasta having already been in Italy for some time. It is the only "true" pub in Italy and they have a unique selection of German beer that can only be found at Geminus pub.

I can really not understand the positive reviews. I ordered a primo and secondo with gamba. After a while it became clear that they did not have gamba. A bit strange in high season, but fine... I ordered something else. The risotto with saffran was so much, that i could literally feed 6 adults easily. No joke! To me the amount is just not inviting and not italian. The taste of the risotto was fine, i just left 90 percent of the dish, since i ordered a secondo. Now, what they served me after, was just ridiculous. I have no clue what to call this dish and would be ashamed if i were the chef that made it. It was a big pile of iceberg salad with corn. On top of it were some slices of crab (??? probably...not even sure). Next to it laid 4 pieces of cold deepfried fish, that looked like (in Dutch fashion) potato croquette (I had one bite: DISGUSTING) that laid, two by two, in huge pools of cheap cocktail sauce. I ate the lettuce, just to make sure i ate something. This was the WORST food i ever had in Italy and possibly worst food ever. So glad it is over!! I will NEVER go back there and will tell people who enjoy food and dining to stay far away from here

All the other reviews highlighting exceptional quality, service, value and graciousness are spot on. The location is great, just up from Vietri Su Mar with a parking lot across the street and near the Autostrada. Enzo, who is one of the owners, suggested a perfect lunch menu for us along with a wine pairing, all for around 60 euros. He even had everything plated separately so we could share each dish. This was by far one of the best meals we have ever had in our four trips to Italy, and definitely the culinary highlight of this trip. If you go, you will absolutely not be disappointed.

Amazing find. From the beginning, the staff were extremely welcoming and chatted with us about the food we wanted. Ricotta ravioli was fantastic along with the antipasto (we weren't even sure what we ordered but they came out with a cheese and meat plate and a mixed veggies plate). Everything was tailored to our tastes and the staff continuously made sure everything was okay. I accidentally left my bag there and the staff ran to come find me to give it to me! Overall incredible and would definitely come again. Avoid the touristy restaurants and come here instead! Not too expensive either - was perfect for us as budget travelers (around 24-30 euros for the both of us)Grazie mille per averci recensiti e per aver apprezzato la nostra cucina e la nostra ospitalità

The first impression of the service was good. The waiter explained the special for the day: A whole lobster with pasta and a salt baked sea bass. This sounded delicious, so this was ordered. While waiting I saw several times where the waiters were unsure where to go, and one waiter tried to serve me ham and melon. After the very delicious meal I asked for coffee and grappa. When the waiter placed it on the table, he was busy talking to other people and looking away from the table. This is not acceptable at a restaurant where you pay 20 EUR for both first and second course.Everything else was excellent.

We had diner with two, was a lovely setting. It had a lot of caracter (big difference with the other hotels around Paestum with no soul). The welcoming was realy warm and friendly. Diner was fantastic. We got several appetizers for free that tasted great with a glass of Prosecco. Our anti pasta was the famous Mozarella and was realy good. The duck and the yellowfish as main course : delicious. To finish we had a great desert and a superb Limoncelle (one of the best I ever drank). All within a realy reasonable price (75 euro for diner with 2). Five stars for sure, thank you for the great evening!
