Great service. Never tried Beetroot and Beef soup... what a great starter. Then came the Lamb cutlets which were perfectly cooked and smelt amazing! Double espresso to top off a great meal. Only downside was the beer was as weak as the sparkling water. I guess I should have tried a Georgian beer! Would definitely recommend if you are hungry and need a tasty meal. Thanks

Tried one of their specials and although the fillet steak was soft, this restaurant certainly doesn't know how to cook it! It's completely tasteless and devoid of any flavours! Admittedly, there isn't a great deal of culinary choice in Bratislava and, likely, that's the reason for so many positive reviews of this place! It's a less than mediocre steakhouse with less than mediocre service in a badly decorated setting. The only thing above mediocre is the price, which is significantly above many places in Bratislava!Dear customer,Thank you for your opinion. Honestly I don't even know what to improve based on your review, I should probably just close down... Well, given the 99% positive feedback from other customers, I vote against closing. Unfortunately, your comments give me almost no value as an owner and I would love to improve my restaurant based on your review.The meat - it's never been the case that people complain about quality of the food. We leave our meats in their natural taste, we don't marinate them, we don't season them before cooking, we just add a bit of rock salt and red pepper at the end. The taste comes from the meat and this is what we want to keep, our regular customers actually appreciate the natural meaty taste. Service can always be better. Decorations someone may or may not like, hundred people equals hundred tastes.So at the end I want to apologise for not delivering on your expectations. Hope you will find some other restaurants better, even though looking at your reviews, you are quite unlucky with picking up places, given almost half of your reviews are one star... the location is excellent, especially if you find a place on its busy outdoor terrace. the staff was friendly and the food was excellent. we tried some of the city local dishes and the outcome was really a joyful delicious experience.

I can not recommend this place. I know, do not eat pizza anywhere else than in Italy, many would say...All food was cold even the Pizzas. We did complain, and to be a bit fair, we got a new portion -but the same again. The head Chef was terrible I do not think he ever learned cooking. So no we will never ever come back here again.

I visited Houdini restaurant part of 5 star Hotel Marrol's for lunch on a day trip from Vienna to Bratislava.I was looking for a set lunch deal,that had some good variation/options,that had good reviews and offered a competitive price.After extensive research on Trip Advisor I chose Houdini restaurant.I am so glad that I did as it was a 5 star experience from start to finish.Amazing food,fantastic service and smart,elegant setting.Set Lunch is served from 12p.m-3p.m.We arrived at 2.20p.mish,so relatively late but at no stage were we rushed by the staff.I chose:chicken soup,veal with dumplings and had crepes for dessert.I was fully satisfied with every dish.The chicken soup was rich and flavoursome and freshly poured for us with style by our waiter at our table.My mains was first class,melt in the mouth tender veal and divine potato dumplings,marinated in a great sauce.I left nothing in the plate.Crepes were enjoyable as well.3 great courses for just 14.5 euros,this was accompanied by a nice beer.I was more than happy to tip as the food and service was exceptional.This experience was one of the best parts of our day Trip to Bratislava.Thanks Houdini Restaurant.

Maybe we hit a very off night but very poor experience here. Service is shocking and food is solid at best. Asked to see tasting menu 3 times with no joy, then finally got it and first course arrived a moment later even though we hadnât ordered yet! Local fizz was strange and served warm (but in ice bucket), still water was sparkling, took ages to get the bill. Restaurant was half full (see, Iâm a positive person!) on a Friday night and easy to see why.

We are extremely pleased with the service-friendly staff, they speak English well. We had some cheesecakes and it was really good. The coffee was great as well. I highly recommend to eat there. The place is quite big, they have multiple terraces and the location is in the historic center. The prices are really good!
