What a massive disappointment Homage was! It's housed in a gorgeous building, with lovely dining rooms and nice decorations. It looks like an intimate dining space and promises homely German cuisine just like Oma used to make. Well, we learned about Oma alright...!Oma's food is grossly overcooked! Fish was inedible, pork was tough as old boots, peas (frozen!) were disgusting.Oma lives in the past. No credit card facilities. Cash only.Oma must be huge, or her kids were. Serving portions were enormous! Way too much. Especially considering the food was so bad.In summary, we felt totally ripped off. The worst meal in Germany by far. Don't waste your time - there are lots of other restaurants nearby. In hindsight we should have gone to the restaurant next door to Homage...!

The restaurant is in a basement which offers an unique atmosphere. The servers spoke English plus had menus in English. Compared to the giant portions you receive in the United States, the portions were small but the right amount. We throughly enjoyed each course. Dear M9286PVbriant,thank you very much for your kind review on tripadvisor.You are right, that our restaurant is located in a basement, service is english speaking and also our menus are translated into english.However the dishes shown in the pictures you uploaded are not served in our restaurant. Absolutely worth the 10 minute tram ride from the city to enjoy this delightful restaurant situated in a residential area away from the tourists. Charming, friendly and knowledgable service, quality table appointments, and delicious food cooked with love. Good use of locally sourced produce with vegetables particularly memorable. Interesting wine list. Statt Burger bekommt man hier aber auch Quarkkeulchen mit Apfelmus. Etwas chaotisch beim Bestellen, die Gerichte und Getränke holt man sich aus der Ausgabe nach Aufruf selbst ab. Aber es klappt irgendwie. Geschmacklich keine Sensation, ist eben schnelles Essen. Aber saubere Toiletten die Treppe runter.

Driving from Berlin we wanted to have lunch at a charming village and we found this gem in Dohna, restaurant Lindners. The owner was super welcoming and her husband is the chef. The food was excellent , fresh and home made. The place is super nice and charming. It was a very pleasant surprise.

Wir waren von der freundlichen und individuellen Einrichtung sowie dem Service des Hauses begeistert. Das Menue, die korrespondierenden Weine, die Beratung und nicht zuletzt der prima Geschmack des Essens waren herrausragend. Das Hotel und die Zimmer haben noch Schwächen (Bad + Zimmereingangstüre), aber man sieht schon die richtige Richtung an den liebevoll eingerichteten Zimmern. Alles auf einmal geht halt nicht. Macht weiter so und die 5* sind Euch gewiss.Vom noch nicht fertigen ÃuÃeren sollte man sich nicht täuschen lassen und die rund 20min. von Dresden lohnen sich allemal.
