We visited Lagoon by Jean Georges on our first night there in St. Regis Bora Bora Resort. The ambiance and the service were both superb while the food was slightly less than what we were expecting. We went for the tasting menu which was a 5 course meal with all the goodies you would expect. The appetizer was great. The scallop dish was very tender to the point I thought it was entirely raw. The only disappointment came from the fish. It was some white fish this I was hoping the meat would be tender. However, it was overlooked and made the fish meat taste like rubber. Other than the fish I have no complain over the other dishes. The ambiance was fantastic. We enjoyed our view of the island as well as the sharks swimming right beneath us in the shark park. Beautiful setting for a special meal. Staff are friendly and lots to choose from on the menu. Recommend the scollops and polenta and passion fruit sorbet. Food is pricey here but the same as the rest of the island. An extensive wine and cocktail list. Some great mocktails
