It has a population of 22,911 (2011) and is the administrative headquarters of Harborough District Council. It sits on the Northamptonshire-Leicestershire border. The town was formerly at a crossroads for both road and rail; however the A6 now bypasses the town to the east and the A14 which carries east-west traffic is 6 miles (9.7 km) to the south. The town is served by East Midlands Trains with direct services to Leicester, Nottingham, Sheffield, Derby and St Pancras International. Rail services to Rugby and Peterborough ended in 1966.

One of the nicer restaurants in the area. The place was clean, bright and surprisingly spacious. Staff, from manager to waitress were exceptional, there but not there. The food was really good, you could taste the freshness of the vegetables, the meats and fish were cooked to perfection. All in all. A restaurant well worth the visit.

A regular user of this Chinese take away and I can honesty say it's my family favourite.Set meal for one is plentiful & at around £8 good value for money too.Too many good things to say about the food & if you buy between Sunday to Thursday you can add free items depending on your spend of prawn toast, prawn crackers, mini spring rolls & curry triangles.Good job, kept going since the previous owners went back to China.Thank you for the positive feedback and we will continue to serve the best as always. Again thank you for choosing us.

Fetch it yourself guys as there is no delivery servicebut i think you will feel it worth it.lovely lady front of house, and food fresh and flavoursome.and i dont seem to suffer with MSG thirst after either.give them a try,smashing!!!

Once again having just finished my meal I feel I must make a comment. When I arrived,there was at least twenty people waiting, it didnât take them many minutes to serve everybody,whilst at the same time answering the phone, as well as dispatching their home delivery people off into the cold night. When it comes to good food follow the crowd they canât all be wrong. Our evening meal was superb.

I have been a regular here for many years and never reviewed this place however was here last week with another friend of mine. We had the Banquet and were the only other table there. They had only 2 tables on a thursday evening. The Starters in the banquet are average to say the least with the peking duck of course being very good. The mains are big portions and good quality in comparison to the starters. The service is average with the hostess / owner ? asking you in a very strange accent a few questions and then remaining not too bothered with how your meal is etc. Nothing bad but just an observation of how these guys serve in 2019 where competition is absolutely heating up but then thats market harborough and han for you. Hope these up there interest level as the food is really nice.

Yeah, weâll wait in an empty restaurant midweek whilst you check the bookings diary to see if you can fit 2 of us in...Still mostly empty when we were leaving...Dirty glasses on tables, no sugar offered with coffee, had to get attention from staff who are adept at looking around without seeing. the cafe is well established and deserves a good rating. the food is excellent, if a little bland. The problem now, is that if you turn up for a lunch time meal you will have to wait 30minutes. Our main purpose is to provide quality food, not fast food. During the lunchtime, the customers are placing orders together at the same time, we understand the waiting time is too long. To avoid the customer to wast the time for waiting. We will inform the customer about the waiting time when they place the order. The customer can make their discretion to continue their order or change their mind. Many customers understand our current situation and they will place the order in advance by phone.
