Things to do in Helston
We had a reeasonable meal here but the very young and inexperenced waitress got the order wrong and seemed so nervous. almost felt sorry for her but then remembered we were paying guests.food was not bad, crab and sweet corn soup nice.but it seems they do the bare minimum at this place and need to do more to make it stand out
Called in on way back to our rented holiday cottage (Foxgloves, Higher Trenower Farm, Manaccan - highly recommended) after a full day at Flambards theme park. Ordered a take away and although restaurant fairly busy didn't have to wait long - staff were very nice and apologised a few times for the wait which was only 10/15 minutes, which is what we would have expected in view of the busy restaurant. Only recently opened as a Chinese restaurant. Food was very good too.

Great, friendly service. Parking nearby. But to be honest the food was average and was a the crispy beef was dry and tough. Rice dish was also disappointing.

Stopped on way past for a Chinese takeaway. Ordered and waited 10 mins in car as had dog with us. Friendly staff who came into the car park with our order too. Food was good. We had crispy duck pancakes. Special fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. All pretty good! Needed heating up in microwave for a bit as not that hot.

This place is slightly above the generally pedestrian level of Chinese restaurants in the area. Out in the countryside, with nice views, and some outside seating in good weather. The menu is slightly different to the usual run of the mill fare that passes for Chinese in England, but I was disappointed that there is no egg foo Yung. There is, however, a small range of dim sum as starters though we didn't try them. We had crispy chicken which was good, as was chef's special fried rice. Less impressive but ok were the sizzling seafood and the satay beef. Gelatos, and banana fritters were very good. Tepid coffee was replaced foc with good grace. Service friendly but slow. The bill for mains, desserts, coffee and tsing Tao beers was £25/head. So the verdict is probably the least worst Chinese in the area.

Worked all day on Saturday on a couple of jobs for friends, so treated myself and my Wife to a Chinese takeaway. The Beijing Cuisine in Helston was recommended to me.Very pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant. Efficient, helpful and pleasant staff.10 - 15minute 'turn around' from ordering to collecting the food.Obviously the main reason for reviewing the establishment is to mention the extremely good quality of my order!I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Beijing Cuisine to everyone, and will 'use' them again if I should be in the Helston area.
