Stopped off for a snack. Waiter spoke very little English but no problem with menu. The berry strudel was huge and to die for. My wife's ice cream sundae was enormous and packed with fresh strawberries. All was served with a smile and a dance. What more could you ask for.

We spent there 5 nights with halbpension. It was splendid! Every evening, we were allowed to choose something in the "à la carte" style and everything we´ve had was cooked and served that even in 5* hotel (or Michelin star restaurant) would not be ashamed of. Highly recommended to go there and to have a fancy dinner there. Definitely are coming back next year!

Der Almgasthof Zirmstadl ist eine tolle Hütte - nach einem Spaziergang, einer Wanderung oder einfach per Auto hält der Almgasthof, das was er verspricht! Sie ist urgemütlich und hat eine tolle Aussicht. Die Speisekarte hat alles, was man in Ãsterreich erwartet. Als Wanderziel ist die Hütte ideal.Empfehlung: Germknödel oder Kaiserschmarrn und zum Abschluss einen Schnaps.

It's an excellent place to have a coffee break or lunch during the ski season. It is situated near the outskirts of a piste, and you have to know the route, but it is worth the visit.

Steak was nice - but Wiener Schnitzel was pork based only. Roastbeef was ok. Salad would need improvement - canned carrots are so last century for salads...Staff was not rude but also not particularly friendly. Plus: reasonably Austrian style interior. Ok- ish restaurant but that little extra was missing.We were there on the 25th based on a recommendation we were hoping for a more festive athmosphere.

Found this restaurant on a recent ski trip whilst staying in Stumm. Very accommodating as there were 26 of us and lovely friendly service. Take away pizzas were fab, the sit in meals even better. Having booked ahead of time (recommend) based solely on TA reviews, I felt reasonably confident that this would be good. First off the building and setting has a genuine traditional appearance, and a stunning vista. Good start.Staff were very friendly, and welcoming offering up genuine good natured banter (it's a word get over it).The food was very good, in terms of taste it was spot on. Everything was tasting like a better version of the food you are used to in your life of consuming mass produced produce. Not only this but all the dishes were prepared very well. I would happily give this place 5/6 based on food alone. I've just posted a (justified) critical review of the Kristallhutte. From there we went to the Wedelhutte for lunch and what a contrast. Friendly staff welcomed us and helped us to find a great table. The rest just followed, good service, nice food and a great ambience - well done, we will return!!

We visited this place several times in the past during our ski trip to the Zillertal Arena region.Sophisticated kitchen with local produce; best local Austrian wines, contemporary presentation, chic decoration, delicious and creative food.If you are in Stumm area, this is a must visit Restaurant (we did not stay in the hotel).

The only issue of this restaurant is that there is a lack of restaurants in Kaltenbach skiing resort, so this one is just flooded by skiers looking for some place to eat. Unless you come 11:30 latest, you would be stopped by the staff just next to the toilets and waiting in a long line to get in, after they let you in you find out that there are no free tables anyway and you would be running around the restaurants with many other people, trying to get a place to eat. And once you get the place, there will be less lucky people passing by your table all the time, looking for their moment of fortune and finding the place to eat.Otherwise service guys are really trying to cope with overloaded restaurant, despite blocked corridors always in a good mood. Food is really good and you pay just a little bit extra for that compared to standard restaurant on the ski slopes. To summarize - this establishment gets 3 stars only because it does not have a working system how to regulate number of people inside. Place itself, service and food is very nice.
