Mac Daddy burger with Chuck • Panko mac & cheese • Double smoked bacon • Cheddar whiz sounded over the top, but was actually quite good. Also loved the swiss mushroom burger, and double bite burger. Burgers were served raw in the middle (red, not just pink), but was quickly corrected. Truffle fries and poutine were also delicioius. Great service as well.

Adorable local spot with many burger options (including chicken, fish and vegetarian). Service was lovely and we did not wait too long. Food was good and prices reasonable but nothing more. Portions are generous. Seating is a bit awkward as the place is very small and cannot accomodate large groups.Very casual.

We loved this restaurant. The upstairs room was very elegant and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I had salmon arancini which was beautifully presented and very tasty. My main meal of gnocchi was one of the best I have had. I was surprised to see another reviewer didn’t like the rib eye steak. My husband had this and it was thick, juicy and wonderfully presented with tasty vegetables. Overall this was such a great night I could recommend it to anyone.

This was one of the best meals we had over the extra long weekend trip to Ottawa. Our server was very helpful with suggestions and offered enticing descriptions of the menu items. The haloumi was terrific and so were the other four dishes we ordered. Wine was good and service excellent. This is not an inexpensive place for dinner so expect to pay for quality. Lively place. Definitely recommend it.

I invited my friend for dinner we choose the place based on google recommendation for seafood restaurant in Gatineau. Location is great but food was bad! It was undercooked or over cooked, cold and too oily.it look really long to get the order, we had to ask for bread to be brought! I ordered fried calamari which was cold undercooked and very oily! my friend got the Salmon where it was overcooked and risotto not cooked. The waiter told us that's how it supposed to be!! I always go for good restaurant, but this one disappointed m. Definitely not recommended at all!!

The food is mostly consistent and good, however, we have had the occasional meal (special) that doesn’t quite hit the mark. The restaurant consists of two rooms. The first room as you enter the restaurant is rather narrow and often too loud. The acoustics and people eating at the bar add to the noise level. The 2nd dining room off first room is not quite as loud.In summer the restaurant is hot with insufficient air conditioning. Reservations are recommended.

The menu offers a variety of original choices. For appetizer, my wife chose the escargots prepared with a buttery, herbal sauce, not the usual heavy garlic base, and it was excellent. I selected the Chorizo de Lisboa: very spicy, outstanding. For main dish we both had the Ali Baba, a merguez and chicken couscous: good but unremarkable and very copious servings. The crême brulée was OK but the bread served with the meal was absolutely excellent. The service was good and efficient. The whimsical decor was quite interesting. On this evening, the restaurant hosted a large party that was quite noisy, which put a damper on our enjoyment of the dinner.

Le Baccara is by far one on my favorite restaurants, and I go back really often.Offering an awesome atmosphere with delightful service and food, this 5 diamond restaurant is fully up to the category it has achieved. It's a very good place to go solo, in couple, with friends, or even for business dinners. I would not recommend going with children.Great value for the money... I know a lot more costly restaurants that do not get even close to what Le Baccara offers.I personally love ordering the "Seven-course", which is a tasting menu that I can assure can delight even the most exquisite taste buds.Getting to the restaurant may be a little awkward and noisy because you have to go through the casino, but, once there, the elegant and quiet environment make it really a special place.

As a regular and often suggesting this place to friends, collegues and anuone who wants good food in great portions, I have to say that I will no longer be supporting this business. When it opened, it was awesome. Taste, service, portion sizes...etc. it was all there. Now I look at my plate and realize I'll have to eat something when I get home. The taste has left the building. Not quite sure what happened but I'm done...I Nicholas, First thanks for your review we take it very seriously. Let me just say that as the years went by the only thing that have changed really is the price, but all the recipes are the same and I'm still the one who does the prep. One thing I realize is that lately we've added some new staff and maybe we should of spend more time on training so the plates could've been consistent. Thing I need to add is that as the years went by, prices increased and we needed to adjust our pricing and portions. A lot of clients were wasting some food because of our oversized poutines and portions and were ending paying for wasted food. We've adjusted the portions and pricing witch pleased some of our clients and disappointed some others. Note that it's still possible to order our bigger version of our poutine etc. but it's just not on our takeout menu anymore. As for the taste, well, I would need more details because as I said all the recipes are the same and I've been doing all the sauces etc since we've open. I know my manager and I had to leave the shop for 2 weeks for festivals, but I can guarantee we've learned from that mistake. Thanks again for the review and hope to see you soon LE BBQ Shop
