The ambience was good. The service okay, if you ignore the lack of table cutlery, and a wine pouring that excluded the very person ordering/tasting the $95 bottle!!? The food was okay. The fois gras poutine was a moulded, unappealing mess. The calamari acceptable. Two out of five diners did not like their steaks. Sauce accompaniments were thimble size, with the bernaise leaning heavily on Dijon mustard. The sides (mushrooms, green beans) were ordinary, and the wilted spinach small and unappetizing. Double baked potatoes leaned to the dry side. The $20 dessert cheese platter came with very small portions that might have cost $10 all together. With an $800 bill for 5 guests, I could have done twice as better for half the price at home. Overall, over-rated!

Adorable local spot with many burger options (including chicken, fish and vegetarian). Service was lovely and we did not wait too long. Food was good and prices reasonable but nothing more. Portions are generous. Seating is a bit awkward as the place is very small and cannot accomodate large groups.Very casual.

Stopped at Tonique after a cycle through the park. It was my first visit and I was so impressed with the food, ambiance and selection of gluten free food and dessert options - unlike the more well-known place down the road which in four+ years has never taken mine/others suggestions and requests to offer (at least one!) GF item.Tonique’s patio is super cute, they offer blankets for chilly weather, and the prices are more reasonable than other neighbouring places in Chelsea. I highly recommend this place!

Friendly staff and interesting menu. Casual dining environment, essentially divided into 3 areas (patio, bar, and dining). Food quality, portions and presentation were very good. Some craft beers, including a sampler option. Limited parking on site, but there is parking on the street and in a lot across the street.

Nordik

Nordik spa is located in Chelsea, Gatineau. The spa is described as a nature resort and is located in a forested setting; quite lovely. My daughter and I were each booked for a massage on Sunday night (Dec 3). I found their check-in service slow. There was a line-up and only two staff checking people in to the spa. The check-in process is not quick. You must prepay for your services on your credit card (a hold is also taken for food and incidentals - which I was not pleased about or you can put down a deposit by debit card for which excess funds are reimbursed to you in cash and not debited back to your account). Then there is invariably the process of programming bracelets for the services provided at the spa. We proceeded to the locker area and both electronic lockers assigned to my daughter and I did not work. A staff member had to run back and forth to the check-in to try and resolve the issue. I was surprised at the number of lockers that did not work properly. We were given a card for 2 free glasses of wine for our inconvenience. When we checked in we were told that our massage time was 7:15 pm and to be at the waiting station by 7:00 pm. We arrived at the waiting station at 7:00 pm and sat around for 45 minutes waiting for someone to arrive. Note that we are in a cabin with no phone up on a hill - which is the waiting station. My daughter went back down to the front desk and was told that our appointment was for 7:45 and they had told us 7:15 in error. They offered us the use of the pool services but it was getting too late for that. Our patience was running thin with the poor service at this resort. Finally our massage therapists arrived at 7:45 which was the correct appointment time as per their records. We had our massages and were very happy with the massage therapists and their service, which was wonderful. They are independent and only scheduled through the resort. NOTE: Was not happy with the front desk service at all. Would not go back to this resort because of the service we received at the front desk.

Le Baccara is by far one on my favorite restaurants, and I go back really often.Offering an awesome atmosphere with delightful service and food, this 5 diamond restaurant is fully up to the category it has achieved. It's a very good place to go solo, in couple, with friends, or even for business dinners. I would not recommend going with children.Great value for the money... I know a lot more costly restaurants that do not get even close to what Le Baccara offers.I personally love ordering the "Seven-course", which is a tasting menu that I can assure can delight even the most exquisite taste buds.Getting to the restaurant may be a little awkward and noisy because you have to go through the casino, but, once there, the elegant and quiet environment make it really a special place.

Four of us went here last Monday and enjoyed sitting outside. The service was excellent and the food was very good however the burger was very "blah"; it had no flavour and was small for the price. It's nice that they offer the salad or fries or half & half. Some of the drinks were a little on the pricey side but overall we enjoyed our meals.

Been there for lunch, mid-week, and the place was almost full. We had two bowls of potage parmentier (aka potato soup) with a few slivers of smoked salmon. We asked for bread. Sure, the waitress said, it's an extra 3 dollars. First time I patronize a restaurant where soup is not served with free bread! Then we had two salads: mixed green leaves with 3 (small) pieces of goat cheese and some bacon lardons. Two glasses of wine, one very ordinary Pinot grigio ($12) and one half-decent Chardonnay ($16), which is tantamount to a 250% mark-up. Really?Total bill for a modest lunch for two, $100. The service was good, however, that is until we had paid our bill. After that, not a thank you, nor a goodbye. Never again!Thank you so much for taking the time to send us your thoughts regarding your recent lunch with us. We are so sorry that you left unhappy. Our aim is ( and always has been over our last 26 years ) to offer genuine value, gastronomy and hospitality in a beautiful country setting. We so hope you may consider returning one day and will have a wonderful experience at that time.
