Had supper here with a group. I had the striploin with peppercorn sauce...very tasty, steak done nicely although would have preferred a thicker cut. Others in my party enjoyed the ribs and Hunter Chicken. A nice atmosphere and tasty, quality food at a price that surprised me...I was expecting to have to pay more.Only downside was pretty slow service, not the friendliest...not rude...but not very welcoming.Would not necessarily seek out for a night of fine dining, but if I was in the area looking for a good supper, would definitely consider stopping by.

I haven,t been here for a while but I can guarantee the food is just as good today as it was the last time I was there. Friends who go there often tell me it is still good and I certainly recommmend trying it.

We stop in North Bay on our way to cottaging on Lake Temagami. We enjoy the White Owl for the range and quality of the menu, the very warm service, good wine and drink list, and relaxing view of Lake Nipissing. Will go again.

This is a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant that we were so happy to find! The parking lot was full when we got there and figured that it had to be good. The staff were very friendly and when they ran out of the special they were more than willing to substitute. The food was amazing and there is nothing like food cooked on a flat top. We will definately be going back.

What is not shown is that La Piazza is also an ice cream parlour and a "must go to" in summer if you are with the kids. Plenty of flavours and great selection.Location is the key. Walking distance from the Municipal Wharf (if you are boating), central for snowmobiling and nearby to the Centennial Park/Playgrounds, beach and splash pads. (Google Maps has the wrong location. It is at the junction of Main and Lansdowne, just about 200m from the Municipal Wharf.)As for hot foods, there is a good selection of foods, but the pizza is at best average, despite the generous toppings. (I am spoiled, coming from Windsor, Ontario, where the world's best [not necessarily healthiest] pizza can be found). However, the next choice for pizza is either LuLu's across the street which is much more expensive but not much better, or a 20 minute drive into North Bay.There is no delivery available. Neither is dining in. If on foot, go to LuLu's where you can dine indoors (or on an open air veranda). It is also licensed.

Took out the grandparents to this place because they love it. Grandparents eat here regularly. They rave about the food. My kids had the fish and chips from the âCanadian Menuâ but I wouldnât recommend that. The service was fantastic. Quick pleasant and attentive. I found the price of $115 for four adults and two kids with tip kind of expensive for where we were. I think this place is best for take out as the people were streaming in! Cash gets you 10% off for this.

I did not want a fast food sandwich and I noticed this restaurant while driving through town. I ordered a cheese and bacon quesidilla. Right away I smelled the real cheddar cheese! It was delicious. I saved half to take with me as it was very filling. Obviously a local popular spot with people coming and going the whole time I was there. A nice find.

Finally got to try this restaurant the other night. I have been there through all the years of different owners but this is the best yet. They have a no reservation policy so we decided to go on a Monday but it was still busy.A combination of casual dining but bistro food. Summer travellers will love it.New York martini is a must. Blue cheese stuffed olives. Also the raspberry lemonade was very good with fresh raspberries on top.My son had the pickerel fritters and fresh cut fries. A real hit. I tried the mussels - different every evening - and have never had so many, hot and tasty. The pickerel appetizer is very substantial. Our choices also included a steak, perfectly cooked.Good prices, great food and nice service (thanks, Courtney).
