Having travelled extensively in North America in the last 5 years, my mother has always found the food to be too much. We stopped at E-Jâs Grill having been to the NP in the pouring raining and desperate for something to warm us up and we were so pleased we did. My mum had a burger and said it was the best burger she has had on any of our travels. It was simple and hit the spot, perfect!Glad you enjoyed your experience. We are open for another season. Hope to see you back

It was easy to drive by this family style restaurant on old Highway 1 (only 5 minutes from Annapolis Royal), but we turned around and went back. And boy, were we happy we did! If you like fresh haddock and hand-cut fries, and other wonderful seafood choices, all at reasonable prices, you should give this a try. The homemade pies looked amazing too! We will definitely go back for more of the delicious fried clams!

The food here is really good. Everything is homemade and tasted great. They have many gluten-free options and are conscious about the quality and types of ingredients they use. The service was excellent, the atmosphere just like eating at grandma's house. We truly enjoyed eating here - we only wished they had longer hours ;)

I had a club sandwich and tomato soup while waiting for a late tour. The fresh, warm pieces of chicken and the toasted bread were perfect complements to the made from scratch tomato soup.

On our second visit to Annapolis Royal, first in July and second in September (a Tuesday), we were happy to find this nice spot open when most most other restaurants were closed in late afternoon. Great chicken club and smoked meat sandwiches. Lovely, friendly and warm service.

I'm torn as I write this review. I would love to give a glowing report--the food was good, our waitress was most pleasant and attentive and eating on the patio watching the sunset was delightful. But we were rather disappointed with the inaccuracies of the menu. I ordered something that clearly stated it included side dishes, yet when I went to order the side dish I was told it wasn't included. I questioned this pointing to what the menu said and was told that with English not being the owners first language, this was an error. I have total respect for someone working in a second language, but they truly do need to fix the menu.

My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Leo's and can highly recommend it to any visitors (or locals!) in Annapolis Royal. We chose the half-sandwich/soup selection--the bacon/corn chowder was awesome as was the curry chicken sandwich on thick slices of homemade whole grain bread. My mouth is watering just remembering our experience!

Recommended by the good folks at Queen Anne Inn it did not disappoint in any way! Service was wonderful and we met the young lady owner who came to our table to introduce herself! Beautiful ambiance! The best squid ever!!!!! Absolutely great advice on Nova Scotia wines that would satisfy our palette. Really interesting and exciting vegetable parings with beautifully prepared meats and seafood! A must try!
