Zoetermeer (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌzutərˈmeːr] ( listen)) is a city in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The municipality covers an area of 37.05 km (14.31 sq mi) of which 2.50 km (0.97 sq mi) is water. A small village until the late 1960s, it had 6,392 inhabitants in 1950. By 2013 this had grown to 123,328, making it the third largest population centre in the province of South Holland, after Rotterdam and The Hague. It is part of the Haaglanden conurbation.

We went to eat here before a theatre show. We were a bit late, so we asked if it was possible to get the 3-course menu. They said they would make sure we got there in time and they did. It's a niche small place, so you're a bit crammed in there when is full. But the staff is very nice and the food simple but good (a bit more than pub food).

As a citizen of the "proud" city of Zoetermeer, I eventually decided to have dinner in this restaurant in my hometown. I was startled by the facts that the servants simply are dishonest. Once could be a mistake, a second time suggests that it is on purpose.If you order a dish with french fries, you get mayonaise, which is charged separately. The cost is limited, but beasically I don't like this kind of surprises. When I said the waitress that I did not vask for it, she said: but you affirmed when I asked you. But she never asked me! Perhaps she expect that my memory i bad, as an old man, but I recall very clearly that I had a very similar problem a few weeks ago.Well, in both cases I got my miney back. But the money is ot the essence of the issue The essence is that they try to cheat you. Even for a tiny aboumt of money.DONT'T GO HERE.In additoon, they have the rudeness which is probably importe from the US: the first ask you what you want to drink. Even if you only wat the eat something. And even before your glass is empy, they ask what you want to drink next.I tried this restaurant in my home town after a recent visit to Germany. It is a "never again" experience.

Ja ja, als je een choco-fan bent loop dan hier zeker eens binnen. Het is een keten dus je kunt in meerdere steden terecht. In Zoetermeer gingen wij voor de choco High Tea. OK, thee kun je overal wel bestellen, maar zo'n plateau met allerlei zoetigheid en wat hartigs erbij. Dan ben je hier aan het goede adres. Al bij binnenkomst wordt de naam eer aangedaan, omdat de zoete geur van chocolade duidelijk waarneembaar is.Op ons plateau lagen ook bijzondere bonbons, met speciale toevoeging. Mmmm, en ook een fruit-spies (met wat choco gedrapeerd) viel ook in de smaak. Voor hartig was er ook wat dun geroosterd brood bij met olie, en diverse soorten wrap-stukjes.Tot besluit gingen wij aan de puntjes Cheesecake en Brownie.Voor ons was dit zeker een heerlijke middag-stop.

Pleasantly small menu around (grilled) chicken. Very friendly and fast staff. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Quality of the chicken is excellent. Very clever to limit the menu and focus on the quality. Very good value for money.
