Gern geht man im sommer hierher, um einen Eisbecher zu genieÃen. Leider ist aber selten ein Platz drauÃen zu haben und auch drinnen sind die Plätze trotz neuer Sitzmöglichkeiten schnell vergeben - lange Wartezeiten für Plätze müssen eingerechnet werden, dafür geht ein Eis auf die Hand schneller. Die Eispezialitäten sind 1 a, wenn auch ein wenig teuer. Trotzdem superschön.

This restaurant offers very well presented international food. The wait staff are very friendly and professional. The prices here are standard, especially when compared to the super high Berlin prices. Offered is outside and interior dining. This is in the walking zone near the center of Wittenberg and in the neighborhood of the now renovated church where Martin Luther posted his Thesis.

The cafe is a nice stop on the main street between the church and Luther House when all else is closed or too busy. The baklava was fabulous.

My friend found this little cafe with some Googling in advance of our day trip to Wittenberg from Berlin. It's tucked away behind one of the churches, but worth a detour! It's all organic and we both had delicious omelettes :) The lady was a little impolite as we were impatient to eat, but she was very busy on the sunny Saturday we were there! The cake on neighbouring tables also looked excellent :)

What a great place to have an Ice Coffee and a cold water after walking through the sites of Wittenburg. This late 1950's early 1960's built establishment is a throwback to simpler times. The service is friendly, quick and the ice creams offered are original and plentiful.

Although probably aiming to be helpful and possibly doing her best with English, we found the person serving us too insistent about us ordering either a sharp rhubarb cake or else a tired-looking cheesecake and we (rarely) baled out at that stage. I think she was disappointed but we needed to avoid another tricky procurement experience which seem all to frequent for non-german speaking tourists.This place was formerly run as Marc de Café (Lonely planet guide older edition. Not quite located where Lonely Planet guide map indicates either, but up a street opposite door where Luther nailed his 95 theses)
