Popped in for a last breakfast before my return to France. First time and choose the Full English breakfast. Everything was there. Coffee excellent. And for a Monday, it was very busy which is always a good sign of quality. Service quick, place very clean. I will return.

Not been in here for a while, so thought I'd have breakfast while my car was being washed. Ordered the full English version off the menu. The plate was very full, but it was full of mushrooms and beans with only one sausage, one egg and two rashers of bacon. The toast was soggy. Overall, I would have to say there are better VFM options in EG offering a slightly more generous repast. The service is good.

Serving Traditional English Breakfast with local sausages, homemade bubble & squeak, jacket potatoes, pananis, hot and cold sandwiches and daily lunch specials. All available for takeaways
Suley's is a traditional café serving large portions of good, well-cooked and fulfilling food. My wife and I had lunch there today and I cannot think of another eatery in East Grinstead that gives better value for money. Suley's is not an establishment where you would go for a romantic meal, but if you are looking for good wholesome food at a reasonable price, Suley's is the place for you.

The Mug Tree is East Grinstead's original tea room, established in 2013 to provide traditional and high quality dining. An independent, family run business nestled in the heart of the community, The Mug Tree serves only the finest Fairtrade loose leaf tea
Went with a friend for afternoon tea. Loose leaf tea was perfect as always. I usually have a cream tea but decided to try the afternoon tea. Scones were fresh baked and still warm (I did have to ask for butter tho). Sandwiches were nice. The stars of the show were the cakes! Victoria sponge, macaroons, truffles, lemon meringues and a mini pot of strawberry and cream dessert. I was so stuffed I had to take some home, which my husband and kids devoured immediately! Also tried one of the new twisted soda drinks, which I was please to see came with a reusable straw! Very accommodating staff, I noticed that the afternoon tea served to a child on the next table had a marshmallow and sweetie kebab so I requested one for myself and they were happy to make one up for me. Best afternoon tea I've had in East Grinstead, other places don't compareDear mrsflight, thank you for such a lovely review, we're very glad you enjoyed our afternoon tea as its something we're very proud of. We hope to see you again soon!

Coffee good and food looked good. We would have tried some but when we asked if pastries were available we were told no and no mention was made of the cookies, flapjacks etc that we saw after we had drunk our coffee. Lost sales and very grumpy unfriendly service.Hi PaulaTerribly sorry that you had a poor experience. We have just taken over the cafe and would really like to welcome you back for better and more attentive service. Just ask for Andrew when you come in so I can introduce myself.Look forward to seeing you!Andrew

My 3 friends and I visited Maria's cafe on Monday lunchtime this week. Two of us had been there before so we booked a table, which was good thinking, as it was very busy, and we wouldn't have got a table otherwise.I ordered chicken and bacon on sourdough toast with a salad, and my friends had quiche, roasted vegetables with salad and pate. All our meals were delicious and the portions were generous. This was followed by tea, coffee and a selection of cakes. Our bill was £15 each, including a tip, which we thought was good value for money. I would certainly go there again when in the area.
