Established in 1985, Pots and Pithoi was the first to introduce handmade Cretan terracotta pots to the UK and we have the largest selection in the country. Our renovated farm buildings, medieval barn, and Mediterranean-style courtyard provide the perfect
Very small venue but absolutely lovely, the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and quick. The coffee and tea are very good and it all comes in the beautiful Cretan pottery that is on sale in the shop. The cakes are a real treat, the chocolate brownies and the lightest, melt in the mouth brownies that I have ever had.Thank you for your lovely review. Very much appreciated. Weâre opening up the courtyard again this summer for the cafe so come a see whatâs on the menu...Iâll make sure the brownies are still available! Kind regards David

Beautiful 16th century pub with 4 en suite B&B rooms, local beers, private dinning area and a newly refurbished restaurant. A perfect place to have food and cosy up by our original fire place Open everyday. Food times 12-3, 6-9 Tuesday to Saturday & 12-6
The fish and chips here are spot on, light crispy batter, large piece of fish, chunky chips with minted pea puree (not mushy peas) and good quality tartar sauce. The service is always charming and the surroundings a mix of the new and old, spacious restaurant area at the back overlooks the cricket ground and some tables on the rear patio, even more tables outside at the front. There are some specials on a chalk board which are quite expensive, we haven't sampled the sandwich menu yet. There's a private dining room at the side which would suit a small family or other gathering.

Tarana is on the site of what was 'Turners' Pub, keeping much of the original external facade. It is only once inside the restaurant, you really appreciate what here, you can explore the stylish, warm and friendly settings we have created to please our gu
Sat 5 Oct 2019, 2100, x2, coupleexcellent venue, good food, friendly serviceJahan is a great host, always very welcoming...Wonderful decor, and great views on a sunny day...We had popadums, starters, mains, plus wine/beer...comfy table/chairs on the dance floor (usually only used on Wed night "bollywood" etc)I had a mixed starter, had veggie samosa - all good!mains: partner had Chicken Tikka Dhansak, to compare to our local (it was her first visit to Tarana), while I had Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi= - both were good, plus sides/rice/naan etc.Personally, I would have preferred my jalfrezi a tad 'hotter', but that's a personal preference, so I will remember to ask for "hotter" next time!other than that, a great evening's meal.

We had the fish starter, which consists of calamari, whitebait and prawns, which stil hv shells, not mentioned so a bit of a messy faff, plus poo sacks not removed which is a pain to remove when the prawns are hot, fortunately finger bowls were provided, but would we order again probably notThank you for your feedback, Sorry it was a messy starter, please check out our delicious new starters, less messy & still ready tasty!

Coffee good and food looked good. We would have tried some but when we asked if pastries were available we were told no and no mention was made of the cookies, flapjacks etc that we saw after we had drunk our coffee. Lost sales and very grumpy unfriendly service.Hi PaulaTerribly sorry that you had a poor experience. We have just taken over the cafe and would really like to welcome you back for better and more attentive service. Just ask for Andrew when you come in so I can introduce myself.Look forward to seeing you!Andrew

Everyone was very friendly, the atmosphere was really nice. The food was very good and the complimentary soup cup they give is amazing I loved it!! The only thing I could say is my sea bass dish was a little bit over flavoursome, I know that sounds silly but I have nearly finished two drinks just due to it being so strong however the sea bass itself is amazing, itâs only the sauces with the risotto thatâs quiet strong.
