Plenty of tables and servers. Menu good with daily specials. I had an issue with my soup, the server took it away and brought a replacement, I was told, felt like a ticking off, â the manager said there is nothing wrong with the soup â all else was good.Thank you very much for your review.I am sorry you felt your server wasn't providing best customer service - and I will certainly make sure to pass your comments to our catering manager - thank you for bringing this to our attention.Kindest regards.

We often visit for coffee and cake. The staff are lovely and give great service. If the weather's good there is the option of sitting outside. There is a wide variety of cakes and traybakes as well as breakfast and lunch menus. I thoroughly recommend a visit.

This is a personal favourite for our family. Coffee and cakes, or super-powered hot chocolate hit the spot. The teenagers would recommend the chicken sandwich, guaranteed tasty veggie and vegan options. If it is the Sunday morning after a Saturday party the square slice and tattie scones will set you right. Super busy place especially on a nice day, weekends or during the holidays. Fantastic deli and shop area. Opted for a late brunch from the menu. Considering all of the wonderful food in the shop I was expecting something much better. Bacon was super salty and very fatty, sausage was okay and black pudding tasted very odd almost offputting. Will try again for lunch maybe breakfasts aren't their forte ?Thank you so much for coming to Ardardan, and for taking the time to write about your experience of your visit. I went in here early in January, just for a coffee. I always enjoy Costa coffee and if elsewhere will look for a Costa coffee shop. On this occasion, at about 4 o'clock, there were only a few of tables occupied and most of the tables were empty. The young girl at the counter was very pleasant and soon after she took our order a second person from the back somewhere appeared to make the coffee. Our problem came when we went to find a clean table. A small number had cups on them but most of the others were smeared with food. We gave up searching after three moves and asked the lady who brought the coffee if she would mind cleaning the table. This she did, but not one of the three then on the scene made any move to clean all the others and they were not busy with customers. Whoever was in charge needs to see to this. I will not be back in a hurry. I have never come across this standard in a Costa shop before.

If you are visiting dumbarton castle or the maritime museum this is the place to stop off. We had a lovely brealfast here complete with 'tattie scone'. We had no idea what this was but the staff helpfully explained and it turned out to be very tasty. Everyone working there was warm and friendly and the cakes looked so good we couldn't resist and got some to takeaway. Thanks for taking the time to leave us your review, and for your kind words. Stopped here last week after a walk with friends. We had delicious onion soup and french toast at a reasonable cost. It was sunny so we sat outside and enjoyed the view, staff were friendly and efficient. Will definately return again next time we are in the park.

Regularly have breakfast here after visiting other places in area and this is without the best . Food is very good and great value for money. The lady is first class as I now do not even need to say why we wish..........most of the time.oops did I say that? Joking just in case I get raw eggs .

The prices are very reasonable. We all had the cooked breakfast. The sausages were cheap and really quite awful. Otherwise the food was good. A smile to strangers on entering cafe would make a difference. Only locals seemed to get a welcome.Please, please buy better sausages it would make a good breakfast great!

We visited the gossip shop in the town after viewing all the comments on trip advisor regarding their home baking and afternoon tea serving When we asked for afternoon tea we were very disappointed to be told by the proprietor that we that we had to book a day In advance for this request due to a special order of cakes that we would select during the tea, The proprietor couldnât have been any more helpful attending to the other elements of food IE sandwiches and homemade cakes that we order during our snack, we had no complaints regarding the food and the service the tea room had a pleasant atmosphere, pity about the afternoon tea.
