How brilliant. Lovely tea rooms with homemade cakes and bone china!!!!!! Lovely warm and friendly welcome by the owners. They will accommodate all types of dietary needs. Also provide a take out service if required. This is a must visit place if you are in Swadlincote, it is only small so may be worth booking for lunchtime.

Nice friendly cafe in town centre which is undergoing a refurbishment and will then be called cafe ambience. Always good service and nice fresh food! Worth a look!

Our party of 9 arrived on a Saturday lunchtime without appointment and we were well looked after. Two tables were put together quickly and all of our food and drinks orders were delivered with a smile and plenty of pleasantries, by Betty herself. Many thanks for looking after us so well.

We came here just for a light lunch after visiting the castle nearby. We each had a delicious bowl of tomato basil soup along with a slice of Brown bread, which to us Americans, reminded us on 7 grain bread you buy in stores. However, this wasn't store bought bread. It tasted home made as was the soup. Both were delicious. We also bought a couple of scones for breakfast the next day. So good! Price was 11 pounds ($16 US). This is a popular place as most of the tables were taken up . Server was very friendly. Very enjoyable experience.

Took a relative here for lunch and was very impressed. Setting is picturesque, with the restaurant facing the lake. The restaurant itself was bright and cheerful and busy! God job we had booked, all the tables were taken.The staff were superb, friendly and obliging. The meals were tasty,well presented and reasonably priced. Also,they are licensed so a glass of wine was enjoyed by all.The environment and pleasant staff made an ordinary occasion special. Highly recommend a visit.What a kind review, we appreciate the time taken to write lovely words. Hopefully we will see you again soon

Another splendid visit to Northâs, the quality and service are consistently high. The specials board never fails to impress my taste buds. Not been to Ashby for more than 20 years. Parked outside the Leisure Centre and this was the first little café we came across heading into town. Very pleasant and clean. We sat outside due to the lovely warm weather. We only ordered drinks. Staff friendly and polite. We walked past later heading to purchase another car-park ticket and it was extremely busy and the lunches looked very nice with ample servings.Thank you for your kind review. We think you made the right choice calling in at our place.

Can never fault this place for great food, good service and a relaxing ambience. Every time myself or my wife visit here it's always wonderful. The setting is cosy and quiet but still only yards from the town centre. Staff always make a place and this is a perfect example with cheery polite folk who will help in any way if required with variations on the menu.Dear Lewis, Thank you so much for this fantastic review.
