Came here for lunch, having spotted how busy it was compared to other places - must be a good sign, we thought. We werenât disappointed! I had a tuna mayo sandwich which came on lovely fresh, doorstep-thick bread: just perfect! My husband had a bacon sandwich on toasted granary bread that was just as good. Both loved it, thank you!

We called in on our way through the Cotswolds for lunch, staff very friendly and we enjoyed our steak pie and fish pie accompanied by a glass of Hook Norton, lovely old building and outside seating area.

Inside this pretty Cotswold pub, you will find a space to suit every social occasion from cosy corners, a private dining room and a stylish restaurant. Good campsite and 4 hand crafted cabins. Located near Moreton-in-Marsh, The Greedy Goose is the perfect
We went for dinner with friends based on their recommendation. It is a really nice, rustic, popular inn. Whilst the standard of food was very good, we felt the choice of main courses was a little limited( in addition there was only one portion left of their only special). Cheesecake desserts were excellent. It is slightly let down by the standard of the loos- especially the carpet down to the entrance doors. Very friendly and efficient staff. We are grateful to your friends for their recommendation and for your review. Thank you for coming to see us. We have a regular programme of decoration and will continue to refurbish our lovely pub as budget allows. Many thanks for your feedback.

Whilst staying in the village we went for a family meal, pleasant surroundings & staff. Not a massive menu but what is on it is a fair choice, there is a specials board but none of us tried those. Nice choice of beers.

Pub Food, including a range of foreign dishes.
Visited the Black Bear one lunchtime because my family were staying in the town with the benefit of being able to sample the excellent Donnington Brewesy ales. The beer did not disappoint, but the food on offer exceeded all expectations. I had duck, French magret style, a generous portion which was cooked to perfection with an excellent selection of vegetables. Others in the group opted for fish which was well prerpared and came with more than an adequate portion of real chips. This was restaurant food, not the run of the mill microwaved pub grub, so you have to be patient as the meals are freshly prepare by a chef you obviouly knows his trade. But then why be in a hurry? In addiion to the Donnington ales there is a good selection of drinks on offer including some competitively priced wines.

Called in for lunch one Saturday. Sat down at a table as there were no instructions as to what to do or how to place an order. Two different staff walked past us three times, no one gave us a menu or directed us to order at the counter. No one said "sorry, we're busy, we'll be with you in a minute" in fact we were completely ignord so walked out after ten minutes. Extremely poor customer service.

We visited on my birthday earlier in the year as I love scouting out Donnington pubs. I was made to feel extremely unwelcome. Having waited patiently the best part of 5 minutes for the barmaid to cease idle chit chat with the locals at the bar, I noticed she whispered something under her breathe which was aimed in my direction. When she finally did acknowledge me, I asked if they were serving food to which she curtly replied âNoâ. As I left the bar, I heard an older couple enquire about food and I overheard the barmaid offer them a choice of sandwiches! If youâre under 50, donât expect anything less than a frosty reception and appalling manners!I am very sorry that you had this experience here. I have messaged you directly. I would like to offer you a meal. Again I am truly sorry and I have spoken to all staff members Jess

My wife queued to order food. When she got to the counter, the waitress snapped at her that it was table service. We then waited and waited for our order to be taken, but no one came. They were not busy but were just talking amongst themselves.
