Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Moreton-in-Marsh. Moreton-in-Marsh is a town civil parish in northeastern Gloucestershire, England. The town is located at the crossroads of the Fosse Way Roman road (now the A429) and the A44. It is served by Moreton-in-Marsh railway station on the Cotswold Line. The parish and environs are relatively flat and low-lying compared with the surrounding Cotswold Hills. The River Evenlode rises near Batsford, runs around the edge of Moreton and meanders towards Oxford, where it flows into the Thames just east of Eynsham. Just over 1.5 miles (2.4 km) east of Moreton, the Four shire stone marked the boundary of the historic counties of Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire, until the re-organisation of the county boundaries in 1931. Since then it marks the meeting place of Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Oxfordshire.

We visited here with friends and enjoyed a delicious roast gammon with tasty vegetables (an unusual mix of roasted root veg including beetroot as well as a choice of potatoes). The homemade cakes on offer for dessert were all very tempting and it was difficult to choose. Having opted for tiffin I was not disappointed. With fine weather we were able to sit on the terrace outside and enjoy the view. Considering the location, I feel it is good value.

Called in today for a cream tea & it was absolutely delicious. Best I've had so far in our visit to the Cotswolds. The staff were very pleasant & polite. Topped it off with an americano coffee with cream. Lovely.

I have never been made to feel so unwelcome by who I can only presume was the owner or manager. We visited on Monday after leaving our hotel in broad camp den. We ordered our drinks and sat in the corner looking at the books. We could hear her out the back ranting about how slow the day had been. She then proceeded to angrily clean around us using strong cleaning products which put us off our coffees totally. We decided to leave and I went to use the bathroom. I came back and before my sister could even get up she went in with a mop and cleaned it meaning my sister couldnât use it. A truly unpleasant experience.Hi Olivia, thanks for taking time to write this review. We always welcome feedback as it allows us and our team to improve. At Beatons we pride ourselves on our gracious hospitality and it is something that we are known for as you can see from our other reviews, and to see that we delivered service less than this is very disappointing to see and we're very sorry for. We'd like assure you that your visit is not reflective of our usual standard and do hope that you visit us again to see this and to try one of our 30 loose-leaf teas, light lunches, freshly-baked cakes and afternoon high tea soon.

I come here with my 11 month old and my friends and their kids at least once a week. Serenity Bean is my small haven where the children can play in the safe play room upstairs while I have a coffee and a bite to eat! The pricing is very fair and the quality of the coffee and food is second to none. I love that the place is eco-friendly as well. The spicy rarebit (darebit) and the brownie are must tries! Nothing is too much bother for the lovely lady that runs it.

Came here for lunch, having spotted how busy it was compared to other places - must be a good sign, we thought. We werenât disappointed! I had a tuna mayo sandwich which came on lovely fresh, doorstep-thick bread: just perfect! My husband had a bacon sandwich on toasted granary bread that was just as good. Both loved it, thank you!

Called in for lunch one Saturday. Sat down at a table as there were no instructions as to what to do or how to place an order. Two different staff walked past us three times, no one gave us a menu or directed us to order at the counter. No one said "sorry, we're busy, we'll be with you in a minute" in fact we were completely ignord so walked out after ten minutes. Extremely poor customer service.

My wife queued to order food. When she got to the counter, the waitress snapped at her that it was table service. We then waited and waited for our order to be taken, but no one came. They were not busy but were just talking amongst themselves.
