We did not spend too much time in the restaurant. But the ambiance looks perfect for some drinks and English cuisine. We had few beers and light snacks. The restaurant has good karaoke artists playing every night. Will visit once again for food review.

Good location & usually lively at night.Clean & good service.Cocktails are ok but use packet juice. Beer is served very cold.Friendly service.I just wish it wasn't so dark; floor etc

We visited Bobbys shack numerous times whilst in Candolim. Bobbys came highly recommended to us so we gave it a try and wow!!!! The staff were very friendly and chatty the food was magnificent the chicken wraps are amazing. At night it was lovely sat watching the sun go down with a beer on the beach. We were a family of eight , we had four grandchildren with us our son and his partner. The kids loved to play with Bobbys family so everyone was happy. Itâs such a lovely relaxing shack Bobby is a lovely guy and his staff are lovely too, nothing is too much trouble for them, they even organised our taxis as the taxi rank guy kept trying to rip us off. If thereâs anything to complain about itâs the 9.30pm closing time, but that was because of the election.We had an amazing time and if we go back to Goa Iâll make sure we get a hotel within walking distance of Bobbys shack. We loved it.

Having been here many times over the years, whilst the food has generally been good in the past the service has always been 'variable' (see my previous reviews re Manuel and Fawlty Towers)! However this time, not only was the food not good the service can only be described as diabolical. We were a party of five, arriving at 7.30 and after two courses and only one drink each (as we were unable to get the waiters attention) we finally escaped at 11.45, having sorted out the incorrect bills. Regarding the main courses, when they eventually arrived, plates were put on the table, food was put on the table, we then had to wait while the waiter went to get cutlery! One was served with the completely wrong dish and the two who ordered tandoor chicken both pronounced them as being inedible. One rice never appeared but again it was impossible to attract the attention of the 'disappearing' waiters. I'm glad I had cheese & biscuits in my apartment as I felt I had had nothing to eat. We won't be going back.

Great night here on a wednesday , great music , dance night, advisable to book as it is very busy , food was ok, as were the drinks , everyone had a great night , at one point there was some half wit danceing whilst cuddling a dog , what a sherbet, but a great night , will be back for sure

We came to Alex shack after hearing all the wonderful reviews. We can not understand why possibly just loyal customers who have not tried else where . The food was terrible the worst we had in any shack, atmosphere lacking with no welcome although the regulars were being attended to . The shack itself is very plain nothing pretty about it to make you want to go either. Was disappointed after the hype we had heard and a few other couples we met in candolim also said same that they had visited and wouldnât return this year . Was a shame. Joanneg184Thank you for your review. However I'm astounded at how you can so easily criticize anything especially opinions of my valuable customers who have come and enjoyed themselves at my shack. They came with no expectations and loved it. And far as the kheema masala and Naan is concerned... I can understand that maybe it wasn't as per your expectations but what I can't understand is when rocky asked you how your meal was, you said that the portions were big. At that time you could have easily said that you didn't like it. My guess is that if you had told us the truth then, you wouldn't have been able to complain about it in your review. You are perfectly entitled to your opinions and to voice them. However I feel that it's not in good taste to generalise about opinions of others regarding my shack. Whether a customer is new or a regular, we always look after them well. It really is a shame that you visited my shack to judge rather than enjoy. All I aim to do is help my customers enjoy their long awaited holiday to the best of my ability... nothing more than that and nothing less.

It was a fun time with great service. The music was lively and staff was very friendly and great service. The bartender made us great drinks and food was good. All in all we have a really good time and would definitely visit again. The place is in a great location with sea sun breeze and greener.

This place was recommended by a friend who knows Goa well and we had a great time here... came twice, once for dinner with a large group and once for lunch with friends. I can be very paranoid about food hygiene but no worries here! Great menu choices and we all had good food with very friendly service. Also it's wonderful to hang out here in the day on the beach.

12 trips to this shack and it never disappoints us. Lovely shack boys. Food is awesome. Dennis is a proper gent who always makes a point of greeting everyone in person. Will arrange airport and any trip at good prices. Highly recommend this one.

I canât find anything negative to say about Tonyâs Shack. We have only been in Goa for three days and we have dined in Tonyâs twice already and have had great meals both times. Tony the owner is also very helpful and a pleasure to talk to.
