Visited Chef Soumyen's on our recent trip to Goa. This is our fourth visit, to Goa set over a number of years and while we shocked as to the upgrade to the restaurants layout, we were certainly not disappointed by the food and service. The food was well cooked and presented as always, we all had different items from the menu including Steak, Chicken, Tuna and Fish and Chips which were all cooked to our liking. We fished this off with dessert both the caramelized Bananas and the souffle were delicious. What a great restaurant. Thank you Respected guest , thank you for being with us for a long time and thank you for your great review. It is always our pleasure serving you. Looking forward to your visit soon. Regards .

We did not spend too much time in the restaurant. But the ambiance looks perfect for some drinks and English cuisine. We had few beers and light snacks. The restaurant has good karaoke artists playing every night. Will visit once again for food review.

Tried here several times eating different dishes. The menu is too big, service is fine and friendly. The tastes offered are a little off the mark so only have the traditional stuff on offer. Tried a squid stuffed dish was very weird, but vegetable biryani is superb. On Weds and Frid ays there is a great singer on whose 60-80's music is well presented. Avoid roadside tables as smelly and noisy

Followed trip advisor and went here and had a great time. Everyone very friendly and really look after you. No one bothered us trying to sell anything and no one tried to take videos or pictures of us. Had some food which was fresh and tasty. Be aware the kingfisher beer is very strong

This place was recommended by a friend who knows Goa well and we had a great time here... came twice, once for dinner with a large group and once for lunch with friends. I can be very paranoid about food hygiene but no worries here! Great menu choices and we all had good food with very friendly service. Also it's wonderful to hang out here in the day on the beach.

We recently visited the Mermaid after seeing the reviews in Trip Advisor. We were greeted by the owner who made us feel very welcome. The restaurant was nicely laid out. We ordered the surf and turf, the steak was beautifully cooked, the accompaniments were great and overall the food was excellent. The owner came over to chat about the history of the restaurant and could not be more friendly. A lovely evening with great good.
