Attended with a group. It took over 2 hours for food to arrive which was very very slow. When I asked to speak to the manager it took over 20 minutes for the manager to come to the table. Instead of being apologetic about the service and asking what they could do for us the manager was very defensive. Said "We have had a very challenging night in the kitchen serving over 200 customers". IMO If you don't have the capacity to serve the tables then you need to reduce the number of tables. Two members of our group didn't eat their meal as it was not really edible. Incredibly disappointing experience for a restaurant that had come highly recommended. I won't eat here again. Overall the experience and level of service and attention to the customer was not what I expected or have experience elsewhere in Newfoundland.

The quality of food was what I expected from a chain restaurant located next to our chain hotel. My desired entree choice was unavailable, so I had the chicken alfredo. The serving size was fine and the meal was okay but not great. My girlfriend had a burger, which seemed to be fine. We split an order of nachos, which were TERRIBLE. $15 for lousy nachos was a royal screwing. Again, food quality was what I expected, but we ate here due to convenience; it was the closest restaurant to our hotel, and we had to be up at 3 am to catch our flight the next morning. Stopped in on a Sunday night , ordered the Memphis chicken burger and cactus cuts , the cactus cuts were inedible , greasy and uncooked so when the waitress came back I told her and she got me another batch , 2nd batch was just as bad , so I just gave up on those , the chicken burger wasn’t much better although it was fully cooked at least , burger was so greasy it soaked the bottom bun , only positive was a nice cold glass of somersby , service was good , quick and friendly but the food was letdown Hi, James. Adelaide oyster is a gem in St. John’s. No reservations are accepted, unless you are a party of 6 or more. We stayed at the bar and we’ve enjoyed it very much. Food is delicious and they have a great selection of locally crafted beers. We have shared 5 dishes between the two of us and we had a great dinner. Thank you so much! We're working on the reservation policy to make it easier for guests to visit us! I hope we see you again!

We got the fish and chips, and they were amazing! All the fish we’ve had in St John’s was delicious but the Duke is Duckworth ones were the best. Also a nice ambiance, and friendly staff.

We decided Jungle Jim’s for lunch and it was a good choice ...we ordered one breakfast with scrambled eggs and everything was hot when it was served ...we also had wings and they were excellent ...nice to get hot wings on vacation ....service was very good and our server was accommodating...we enjoyed our meal there ...

Annual event to hit Wingin it on Kenmount Road on Christmas eve. Just another excuse to get the sampler platter. Food is expensive especially if you have any alcohol. Wings are fantastic and the bar area is very nice. Staff are great , I think they know us now. Lol Highly recommended.

We stopped in for lunch simply because it was convenient to the hotel we were staying at. It’s connected to Sandman Signature. Our server was very disinterested and the food was lacklustre at best. The non-alcoholic beverages were pretty expensive...particularly when our server couldn’t be bothered to offer refills when she saw empty glasses. I was quite surprised at the new menu a lot more than chicken!Seems they are trying to hit all bases!Service was good and fast we went with the chicken and rib combo and it was fast hot and good.Server was cheerful place was clean and noise level moderate.

My friends and family have been visiting this establishment for years. This review is long over due. I can actually say we have never had one bad (even mediocre) experience here: The food here is ALWAYS hot and delicious. The wings are my absolute favorite. The servers are just wonderful. There are several servers who seem genuinely happy when they see us arrive and I believe they go the extra mile to make us and other patrons feel very welcomed. I have rented the bar area here for events, order take-out from here for my workplace for our annual Christmas luncheons, have come here with large groups of up to 20 and I have been here for date night with my husband or with a handful of friends. I can truly say that The Bigs in Mount Pearl are the best at what they do. They never disappoint. Hence why we keep coming back time and time again. Kudos to management and all staff. Consistently excellent.
