Service bad, indifferent. Had to get up from our table a multitude of times to get service or ask for cutlery etc. Waitress took forever to take our order let alone acknowledge our presence. We waited forever for our meal. My steak (bad mistake) was cold and very tough and badly butchered. I asked for garlic butter sauce and got some revolting gloop which was inedible. When I asked what it was I was told it was garlic in cheese sauce (NOT). To add insult to injury they had used garlic flakes, yuck. How difficult is it to crush some garlic into melted butter?? My friendsâ meals equally underwhelming, overdone prawns. The owners are banking on the restaurants position, which has a lovely view. This phenomenon seems ubiquitous in South Africa. Definitely wonât be back, not even for a drink.

Came with family and enjoyed a good menu section, very reasonable prices and nice staff! had some nice steak, chicken and salad...kids enjoyed as well,. good fish they shared. Thank you!

Dirty table. Service really slow. Fish was as hard as leather. Dry, overcooked and not fresh. Tartar sauce sour and very small quantity. Not asked during meal if we were satisfied. When asked after the meal and given feedback we were told that kitchen would be told. No apology at all. While we were eating two other customers sent food back - ribs not cooked, steak too tough to cut with blunt steak knife. Manager and older waiter walking around among customers with cigarettes in hand in the non smoking section. Manager looked really hungover and on the way to another babelas. Very embarrassing if this is the best that Kleinmond can do for tourists.
