We went to the Old Wyrley Hall today for a carvery after having such a lovely meal there on Motherâs Day. Both times the food was excellent! The kids plates were empty and they wanted seconds which had never happened when weâve been anywhere else before! We would recommend there to anyone and will definitely be back!

We were staying at the Roman Way hotel just down the road but after seeing the dining room empty we decided to walk up to here.Great little find and very busy.We managed to get seated in the bar area.Guinness on tap and a really good menu.I had the burger and it was really nice. My friend has the mixed grill and he enjoyed that too.Would definitely return.

Independent bar serving homemade stone-baked pizza, cocktails and craft beer.
Myself and three girlfirends visited this establishment on Saturday 10 August. We bought cocktails and was enjoying the evening when one girl visited the toilet. She returned back shaken and upset with a lump the size of an egg on her head saying that while seated on the loo the toilet roll dispenser had dropped down striking her on the forehead and knocking her glasses off onto the floor. The side decorative emblem had been knocked off and we were unable to find it so went to speak to the manager who promised that after cleaning that evening he would contact us to inform us whether this had been found or not. We waited all day Sunday and until Monday lunchtime with no contact. I by this time was annoyed with the lack of concern as my friend now had a sore bruise on her head so decided to contact the place myself. When I did I was just told that they had complaigned to the company who provided the sanitary ware, NOT GOOD ENOUGH. So a word of warning to anyone visiting this establishment, check your toilt roll holders before taking a seat.Unhappy visitor.Hi Patricia,Thanks for your feedback. I hope the offer of reimbursement of any glasses repair and a voucher as a gesture of goodwill, which was made after you called on Monday morning, goes some way to apologise for this unfortunate incident. I've asked the staff to manage customer expectations with regard to contacting customers over the busy weekend and during annual leave. I'm sorry they failed to contact you on Saturday night.Kind Regards

Whether it's a leisurely drink in our beer gardens or a dinner next to the warm fire the Shoal Hill Tavern is an ideal place for hearty food, fine wines and a good variety of cask ales. Situated in a picturesque location next to an area of Outstanding Nat
My friends and I had some lovely food here this evening, however, our drinks came with a long delay and were virtually thrown onto the table and not once were we asked whether the food was ok. We were not asked if we wanted a pudding despite over an hour passing since we had finished our main courses and so we upped and went to pay our bill- we were given someone elseâs bill initially, for which no apology was offered. It was not busy at all. We will not be back in a hurry

I come here usually at least once a month to meet a friend straight from work as it is a good half way point from our respective homes. Staff always friendly, food always nice and good value. I met with my dad here last week and it was nice as usual. I would just say please guys keep an eye on the toilets, I have been many times and it has run out! Really puts me off, and the aroma in there is often unpleasant, obviously toilets are what they are but a little more care and attention would be appreciated. When there is soap available I would recommend using a different one, it is a foam that doesn't lather up, I would like to feel like I have washed my hands! Keep up the good work though guys!
