Place in not in the central part of the village. It is half a kind of a pension and half a restaurant in the ground floor. Owners expect that you will come with your car or with a bike during the summer season. In winter you need to be inside. Food is good (local and Italian) and prices in the middle of the list. Service is average. They open late and are closed in the middle of the week. So, check the opening time before your visit.

Herlzalm quickly became my favourite resting spot in the Kronplatz ski fileds. Located next to my favourite northern red/black slope to Reischach it offers agreat terrace to enjoy the sun, being served by a super friendly team. The food is good and moderately priced for the area, the interior and building is authentic - built from lots of well aged wood. The serrvice is quick and the coffee is the best around.

In valle Aurina per passeggiate estive in montagna sono tornato in questo posto dove ero stato a mezza pensione in inverno mangiando molto bene.Ho trovato un bel giardino con tavoli in ombra dove ho gustato di nuovo una ottima cucina.Servizio cortese e professionale.Torneremo.

My wife and I were in Brunico they July to see our friends. We had a wonderful lunch at the Restaurant Amaten celebrating the birthday of our friend. The meal and service were excellent and the view of the mountains was outstanding. Our Brunico friends love dinning at the restaurant which is very close to their summer home in the mountains.Dear Johnthank you for your great review. Lasciate la macchina dopo Gasthof Waldhrue , salite per unâora e mezzo nel bosco e dopo unâultima salitina arrivate alla baita del cacciatore dove , davanti a un panorama meraviglioso , potete prendere il sole su comode sdraio e godere del menu del giorno : spettacolari costine di maiale , deliziosi gnocchetti , buona polenta con formaggio e capriolo e strudel di albicocche con crema o panna montato . Ottimo pinot nero 2016 Sandbichler di H. Lun e liquore allo zenzero servito in una particolare pipetta offerto dal gentilissimo e professionale titolare e da sua moglie . Ã stato un dispiacere abbandonare questo meraviglioso posto.
