...But my son loved his dish.Perhaps the only ugly location we ate at in Canmore, but we were craving Asian food and it was close, so we pulled into the sketchy parking lot and decided to take a chance. The hostess/waitress was certainly a fan of the food, telling us that the food here was better than at any Philippine restaurant she visited in Toronto or New York (cities with sizeable Philippine populations), and the Thai dishes were excellent. She told us that the restaurant was helping to introduce Canmore to real Asian cuisine.Positives? My son loved his pork dish (forget the name). My daughter was happy enough with her seafood noodle dish, even though she left about half of the noodles. Both tasted okay to me (and at $19 an entree, way overpriced for the size of the portions). My wife said her food was shrug-worthy. Gummy chicken in some bland brown sauce. My pad-thai was simply the worst that I have ever tasted, and I have actually eaten pad thai in pubs in Toronto where they specialize in burgers. Served in a sickly sweet brown sauce - a LOT of brown sauce - it was (despite the waitress' hype) pretty much inedible. The tofu chunks were fine, but the chicken was very chewy. No peanuts, no discernible spicing, thick noodles, all overpowered by sweetness. I ate about a third of it, and our waitress who had pretty much disappeared to serve a large group that came in - can't blame her as the place was understaffed - didn't ask why more than half of our food was uneaten at the end of the meal. If their intention is to introduce "real Asian food" to the residents and visitors to Canmore, I am afraid that people will decide that frozen egg rolls are a better option.Quatro looks like it used to be another type of restaurant. A few Asian posters on brightly painted walls, uncomfortable seating and a complete lack of atmosphere. Which of course wouldn't be an issue if the food wasn't bad. Even the parking lot could use a clean up. Overall, the feeling was that there's either a lack of pride in the place, or a lack of staff. And worst of all - the washroom was filthy. Urine all over the floor, a liquid soap bottle where the soap had clearly been watered down in order to save some cash. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. But like I said, one of our party liked his meal and another was okay with it, so it wouldn't be fair to give it a 1.But if you want to try "real Asian food" and this is the only option available while you are visiting Canmore, you might want to wait until you are visiting some other place.

Good menu choices with all the traditional favourites. We ate as a group of five , 2 opting for the pad Thai and the others having the peanut stir fry with chicken. All meals were generously proportioned. We selected coconut rice for the table and it was delicious. They were quick with the meals and attentive with the drinks. Food and beverages were well priced. What a nice little find in Canmore .

We were originally going to go to Boston Pizza but it seemed quite busy and we didn't feel like waiting too long. We picked this place since it was buffet and figured it would be quicker. We are so glad we did since the food was excellent! The selection for the lunch buffet is not huge but there is enough their and everything tasted good so we prefer that over huge selection of tasteless things. The butter chicken was especially good and naan bread they brought over was also delicious and not burnt. Service was also really good. Overall we are so glad we tried and we will stop here for lunch from now on when driving through.

Visited indochine for dinner while in Canmore, it was around 6pm-7pm and we were the only people there. To start we ordered the shrimp and pork salad rolls, the came with a peanut sauce both were good, the rolls were quite large and had a lot of mint in them which I was not used to. For our mains I ordered the (rice dish) grilled satay prawns and my fiancé had the curry chicken, his was great was a bit spicy but had good flavor. Mine on the other hand was pretty boring, it was just shrimp rice and salad and was $20 which just didn’t seem worth it. It was good and I did enjoy it I just think in the future I wouldn’t pick anything with shrimp because they seemed to way over charge for it.

Their menu is two sides of a large sheet, but the options did not feel overwhelming. They’ve managed to include a reasonable variety of flavours while offering solid favourites - and I did fall for a somewhat common brioche sandwich which was perfectly balanced and delicious. The standout might be the space - converted from an old warehouse but maintaining an industrial feel with black cutlery, stainless steel fixtures, and then gentler modern touches like exposed wire lighting in beautiful round bulbs hanging over the bar. There is a connected brewery with a full glass wall for you to check out - makes for great pictures too!As you’ll also see in my photo, they treat their donut dessert very extra.

My friend and I were so excited to eat this type of food. I also have been gluten free for 10 years and couldn’t believe there was a gf restaurant in Canmore. It was so disappointing. The ginger beef was dry. The sushi tempura was tasteless- it just had tapioca starch in the shrimp. The salmon was dry and fair- it was over powered by a tamari sauce. The spring roll just had tamari dipping sauce, no peanut or interesting sauce to taste. What a fair meal and as one of our dinners out.
