The restaurant 'Bayerischer Lowe' offers a nice biergarten in the Passau city centre. The dishes are typical Bavarian style. You should try it!

Right next door to Hotel Koenig and overlooking the cruise boats on the River Danube, although only a few outdoor tables achieve this! Very busy but the service was friendly and fast. The food was excellent with the usual Austrian helpings (large) so be aware. I had a reasonable size glass of Austrian Chardonnay and a Balkan dish of liver and tomatoes with a sauerkraut salad and a Ajoy sauce...delicious all for â¬15!I can recommend this place wholeheartedly.

I had been in Kreuzweis twice - both times we liked the place very much!Friendly people and friendly atmosphere!First time was in a late August evening - second time in an early dark Februar evening. We enjoyed everything very much. There are several beer options - you better ask the waiters before making a not-so-good choice!

I have eaten here now a couple of times and on both occasions had a good night. The beer is very good and both times I ordered the Pork Knuckle with all the trimings. The pork knuckle here is probably some of the best I have tried in Bavaria and I have had a few. Good standard fare and reasonably priced. Worth a visit for sure.
