Traditional home cooked food with delicious fresh beer. This restaurant is small and kind of hidden behind a tree. Our hotel recommended we eat here and we were glad we did. I had a New York Strip Steak (Rump Steak) with fried potatoes (brat kartoffel) and a yummy salad. My husband had the Weiner Schnitzel (Schwein) with french fries (Pommes) and a salad.

Wir waren hier schon das 2. Mal und haben wieder sehr gut gegessen. Preise absolut in Ordnung für die Region. Tolles, reichhaltiges Salatbuffet. Ãbersichtliche Speisekarte. Rinderschmorbraten schön rosa. AuÃenterrasse liegt zwar an einer StraÃe, diese ist aber nicht übermäÃig befahren. Wir kommen wieder, es schmeckt uns und gefällt uns hier. Familienfreundlich - extra Kinderkarte zum ausmalen und Spielzeugkiste!

Wir (2 Personen) waren gestern zum Mittagessen und mussten einiges erleben, was wir selten erlebt haben. Nachdem wir auf der schönen Terrasse Platz genommen haben, mussten wir 20 Minuten warten bis die Bedienung unsere Getränkebestellung aufnahm, nachdem sie 2 Tische die ca 10 min und 15 min nach uns gekommen sind zuerst bediente. Nach weiteren 10 Minuten durften wir auch unsere Speisenbestellung aufgeben (1à Schweinemedaillons und 1à Schweinebraten). Nach geschlagenen 70 Minuten nach dem Eintreffen durften wir auch unsere Speisen kosten. Geschmacklich war der Schweinebraten höchstens untere Mittelklasse, der Semmelknödel war gatschig (verkocht), die Medaillons waren gut gebraten (schön zart) aber geschmacklich auch nur Mittelklasse. Nachdem wir fertig gegessen haben und dies auch deutlich gemacht haben bzgl. Stellung des Bestecks, Serviette etc. ist die Bedienung dreimal vorbeigelaufen ohne uns wahrzunehmen. Sie musste ja erst warten bis ein anderer Tisch fertig gegessen hat, um dann diesen erst abzukassieren. Ich persönlich kann nur jedem empfehlen, ein anderes gut bürgerliches Lokal in Deggendorf (Höttl, WeiÃbräu oder Goldner Engel) zu besuchen. Ist zwar etwas teurer doch geschmacklich sowie servicetechnisch um Welten besser. Wir waren das erste und letzte mal Gast in diesem so hochgelobten Lokal.

Sind durch Zufall hier gewesen und waren zufrieden. Ich hatte Jägerbraten mit Pilzen und Spätzle - sehr gut. Der Gastraum ist einfach, die Bedienung war sehr nett. Einziges Manko, die LED Kerzen. Nehmen mir persönlich die Gemütlichkeit.

Thunder clouds and the first rain made us step inside the Gasthaus. Friendly staff. Even though it was very busy we found a table for 2. A new beer to try was the Wolferstetter. really good. Could not resist the salads. There was also live music.

It is typical bavarian restaurant with perfect cleanliness, very tasty meals with outstanding quality of food. The staff is willing and you'll wait only for a while. In the range of these restaurants really excelent.Yes, you are in Niederbayern and here the perfection is not surprising

You know that there's something wrong when a beer costs more than in a big city center and almost the double compared to "normal" off-side restaurants. The feeling I got was that the pair running the place would just like to relax there and the whole restaurant is a nuisance. Already the signs outside make you feel not too welcome "do this, do that, don't do this, take your own garbage with you..." Because of thelocation, there would be a lot of potential, but now it's running down the drain.

Despite my difficulties with my poor German language skills, Patricia, the landlady of this lovely hostelry and Inn, could not have been more helpful and courteous. The potato soup was delicious and for main I had a Bavarian version of a mixed grill that included all sorts of locally reared or grown meats and vegetables. Several helpings of dark Weiss bier augmented a thoroughly satisfying evening as I wrote my travel log until the inevitable effects of the beer impaired eye to hand co-ordination! One tip: they only took a German Visa card so make sure you have cash or at least check first. Luckily I saved any embarrassment by checking and went to a cash point several km away before the dinner!.
