Chopstick encounters for large groups of people! The Fujiya has an Asian decor with red and dark tints and exhaust hoods hang resplendent over the teppan-yaki. The food could hardly be fresher. It is prepared in front of the diners on a hot plate which is in the middle of the table. The staff offer service with a smile and the restaurant is filled to capacity every night. The dining experience is twice as enjoyable when you can actually see the food being prepared by expert chefs - especially if the meal does not leave you feeling bloated. The restaurant is popular with vegetarians and meat-eaters. It has a good international wine selection. Sayonara.

Our family have been tonight to dine Teppanyaki.
Services was fast but feeling a bit in rush...
Taste of sushi: average medium. Not waou...
Taste of teppanyaki, medium no feeling a real Japanese taste, more an international western food.
Dish presentation: medium. Can be improve!
Overhaul experience tonight was medium, not a big deal... but a regular western Japanese restaurant.

We were desperately looking for a nice restaurant around the airport during our stay at Hilton and found this gem. It is a nice 900 meter stroll from the Hilton to this nice restaurant. We had a fantastic traditional Swiss Dinner with a very friendly service. The staff were very good and the preparation and presentation of the dinner was just fantastic. We will be back.

Chalet Waldgarten has a magnificant view during the day over part of Zurich. At night there is no view but the restaurant itself is a nicely lit complex of two or more dining rooms, a small one and a big one is what I saw....MoreBetrifft uns als aktuelle Pächter nicht. Horst Lotz & Jana Berger

The Freihof in Brüttisellen is one of those restaurants you would not notice, when driving by. You probably would not stop, unless you know that its is well worth having a break there. Yes, stop there and be suprised. The interior is typical for a Swiss countryside restaurant of the 80s, nothing really special. But here it has the kind of charme that is missed in a lot of restaurants these days. Service staff are very friendly, smiling, efficient, fast. The locals they know by name, many have become good friends over the years, it seems. The menu offers a surprisingly wide variety of dishes and prices are very reasonable. Try the Cordon bleu, for instance. The quality of food is very good, everything is hot when it's being served and it tastes natural. A good place to go for a lunch or an evening dinner. It's also ideally located to stop when you're travelling on one of the motorways around Zurich. Get out at the Brüttiseller-Kreuz and have break at the Freihof.

Outstanding restaurant very close to Zurich airport. Excellent steak offerings. Cooked to your liking right at your table on a hot rock. Take it off when you like the color.
Wait staff was excellent, friendly and they all spoke great English.
A little on the pricey side but well worth the money

This restaurant serves very tasty seasonal dishes and makes a great rösti. The choice of wines is to be recommended. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is good. There is a very pretty large room for group functions and a large Terrace for summer afternoons and evenings. Families and couples enjoy celebratory meals there. It is also a quiet location for a business lunch. You can even call in for a coffee and croissant in the morning or an ice-cream from its large selection in the afternoon.

We came for lunch right after playing mini golf next door. Service was very friendly and all food such as hot stone steak and Zürigschnetzeltes tasted great.

As a resident in Bassersdorf, my wife and I have visited Barone since it opened and for many years have enjoyed top quality food and service.
The restaurant has a lovely spacious feel, with modern décor and a relaxed atmosphere. In summer the al Fresco dining is excellent thanks to a lovely outdoor area surrounded by trees & plants and a water feature.
Pizza's really are the speciality of Barone, they simply pretty much all the other pizza competition in Zurich and are so large you won't need a starter or a dessert! Although the pizza is the highlight of a visit to Barone, the pasta dishes are equally as delicious and the homemade lasagne is a particular favourite.
It really is always a pleasure to visit Barone, the staff are so attentive and friendly and for me remains my favourite place for authentic Italian cuisine at a very good price.

The 4 of us all ordered pasta and all were very good - fresh and flavoursome. The very best though was the home made pasta - cappiletti stuffed with porcini mushrooms and ricotta in a cream sauce. I have never had pasta which was so light (and I had italian in-laws who made all their own excellent pasta). I still remember it. The spaghetti carbonara, pasta with fennel sausage and mushroom, and the house special trio of pastas were also all very good.
