Reviewed By Adriana JThe hotel is beautiful, the view in the moornings and the sunsets are stunning. We stayed in two different kinds of rooms the grand suite and de gran suite with terrace, both were great. The staff were very helpfull. I have a recommendation for the breakfast it is basic for the kind of the hotel, it can be improved, with a breakfast buffet.

Casa Barichara Boutique is an exclusive guests house, with capacity to receive in 6 rooms, 21 persons. An extraordinary artesanal breakfast is included in the experience. The house have an area of 1400 m2, a big terrace with a pool and sight to the whole town. A hammock area to rest. The house counts with free parking and Wifi. The hosts spend time each day to guide their guests.
Lovely Hotel
Reviewed By Robert SHotel Barichara Boutique is a beautiful hotel with very large and functional rooms. The staff is exceptional (very friendly and competent). Breakfast is excellent and made to order. The grounds are pretty and it has a nice pool. The location provides outstanding views of Barichara. As the stay was part of a larger overall package, I cannot assess price/value.

Cozy, confortable and quiet, so is the beautiful Posada Suenos de Antonio "Break the colonial style". The natural environment predominatesin this hotel, which has five nice rooms;three standar on the first floor, and two upper type on the second floor, which has a balcony that offers the best view of the beautiful streets of the town, and a bathroom with shower in the open sky.
An overpriced tourist trap
Reviewed By FrenchTraveller001Together with 2 other friends, we booked 3 rooms in this centrally located property which turned up to be a basic hotel with very small rooms a even smaller malfuntioning bathrooms. Chairs or tables are not available in the rooms, nor is a minibar. One friend had a very noisy room facing the street; another friend had a room without a window. I was the only "lucky one" with a room with a smallish balcony and no sound from the outside. Breakfast was basic with bad quality juice, coffee and chocolate. At the end of the day, this property is vastly overpriced for the value you receive. It is a tourist trap with photos which are way different from reality. Avoid going there!

It is home to a ranch , restored for hotel services , with bathrooms with double shower. Green areas , swimming pool , jacuzzi , Turkish, wifi ,parking. For the children has many animals such as horse, camuros, goats, chickens, ducks, cows. Nice experience for relax and enjoy.

It is sad that the Barichara area don’t have better places to stay, this was an awful experience and I don’t recommend at all. Avoid it even it is free!

Reviewed By wee_dkhWe had a lovely stay in Casa Juana. The rooms are around a pretty garden setting, with open air spaces and bathrooms. We felt very welcomed by Nancy the host and very well looked after by the staff. Loved the breakfasts and Nancy provided helpful restaurant recommendations. We would highly recommend Casa Juana as a home away from home in beautiful Barichara.

You can always get into space where artfully combines historical architecture of the area with the minimalist movement, where the walls smooth, perforated by double doors open, control the passage of light, creating within them a conducive atmosphere that the silence and meditation.
Nice place, perfect location
Reviewed By twixelien1975Lovely restored colonial building with all rooms located around the central courtyard. Rooms are a bit dark, and ours was quite small, but we had alle the amenities we needed (bottles of water, flowers, a safe, no TV, but hey, you're on a holiday...who needs TV?). Restaurant is really good (loved the "gabrito") and to close your meal you can enjoy the collection of rums (not cheap). Breakfast is very nice, good arepas. Would stay here again when back in Barichara

A beautiful architecturally designed house, lovely large rooms and I found the lack of windows delightful, especially in the bathroom. Tasteful artwork by the host adorns the walls and everything is of quality throughout. Great views across the town and over farmland. Cannot fault.

Our house EL AGUA, is built with traditional techniques Santander. Rammed earth walls with land in the region that frame the landscape and gardens , present in all spaces . The rooms are comfortable and spacious wherein the mixture of local materials such as reed , wood and stone , give a bound bathrooms with shower outdoor rustic and contemporary mix to enjoy a starry night while taking a rest .

The house is not only comfortable and beautiful but an experience itself: the architecture, the garden, every detail in the decoration, the way it’s been integrated with the nature, the view... perfection! Andres and Pilar are amazing hosts as well, helpful and knowledgeable about what to do around.

Reviewed By D3884KApeterjI had a massage in the hotel "spa" (massage room), the worst in my life. I suspect common vegetable oil was used as my expensive shirt is permanently stained and ruined. I needed to put it back on to find my wife for the room keys. It took a 30 min shower to get the goop off. She had mixed exfoliating pumice stuff into oil at the end. The metal spring device she tried to use to massage my scalp I had seen at some tourist stores gave "chills" and was unbearable. Other devices were rubbed on my back. The foot massage portion hurt. Clearly NOT a professionally trained person. Juice/milk drink and tomato soup consumed by 3 out of 4 of us. Us 3 became violently ill. Only concession was they gave us a 6:00 pm check out as we rested recovered after horrible night of little sleep. Two in group were Colombians and used to local food.... Dusty ceiling fans in rooms threw off dust when turned up for hot day.
