Quiet spot off the main road with fabulous staff
Reviewed By caddyandbellAI booked Dua Bintang from reviews on TA.We had a long drive up from Legian and arrived about 2pm down a small road to the hotel.At first I was underwhelmed and was a bit nervous as it was quite out of the way to the main road.Cicadas were in full song and it was really loud.The hotel is simple with an infinity pool.Multi levelled with rooms all down the hillside.We unfortunately didn’t have a view from our room that I had asked for but that was ok.Our room had 2 beds,no TV,no air con or fan but had a fridge,mini bar and snacks that you could buy.Shower was good with hot water and plenty of water.Outdoor bathroom which was pretty.All meals had to be ordered an hour in advance so the cooks could get it organised.This was all fine as Munduk is quite cool so no need for fans and we were going to eat at the hotel anyway as we were so far out from anywhere to eat anyway.The staff make this place.They were so attentive and happy to do anything for us.Food was good but if you are a big eater maybe order a couple of things as the portions are small but again fine for us.Prices were good too.There is a bar downstairs near the pool so cold beers or cocktails by the pool were good.Taxi service from the hotel to anywhere you wanted to go but a little on the expensive side.We had our own driver from Legian so we didn’t need the service.They do guided tours of the waterfalls nearby and I would recommend to do that.Hendra from our hotel took us and he was great.You can organise to do Yoga through the hotel as well.We basically had the whole place to ourselves so we read books and just relaxed.Walked down the road that the hotel was on and saw all the locals living theirs lives which I really enjoyed.Everyone was quick with a hello and a smile.You are a little isolated here for restaurants or shopping but that’s what a stay in Munduk is all about.Dont expect any night life or noise just relax.

Reviewed By yohanesb1089I can't find simple words to describe the beauty of this property and the people. First is they grow their vegetable and fruits so everything is fresh. The second is the infinity pool has an amazing view. The third is the villa, despite their lack of staff during the pandemic, is still in excellent condition from the maintenance and cleanliness and also the view from their balcony is breathtaking! Fourth is the food, I had this excellent Balinese roast chicken for dinner! And also their breakfast is amazing. Last but not least, the staff takes care of you and made feel like our home. Specifically, thanks to Eka who was with us from check-in till check out, and to Hendra the manager who made us feel like we are home. Thank you Munduk menir!

C'est très propre et calme. la vue est juste incroyable, la chambre parfaite il y a tout. On avait pris 2 nuits mais je serais bien restée plus longtemps. en plus Du lit on peut voir les étoiles !!! ahah je suis fan. Je garde un très très bon souvenir de ce moment chez Munduk heaven

Reviewed By Aileen PI work remotely online and needed a place in the north of Bali where I could continue to do this in peace. I found Arya Utama in Agoda and admittedly wasn't blown away by the photos. I trusted the good reviews despite my doubts especially because the waterfalls was supposedly a few minutes down our room. The price is super cheap even for Philippine standards, and this too was a big factor in my decision. Upon arriving past lunch, we were immediately greeted by a sea of clouds and the most breathtaking view of lush forests. The vibrant green made a beautiful contrast against the cotton clouds and I suddenly felt poetic. ? The room sits close to the forest and we can smell the trees. In the mornings, we would hike down our room and do yoga by the waterfalls. Breakfast is simple but always hot and fresh. You can get the usual egg and toast or the local Nasi goreng and sweet tempe. My absolute favorite is fried bananas drizzled w/ chocolate. There's a small ref, free coffee and free mineral water everyday. The staff named Nyoman was the best, always making sure we were comfortable and checking on us even his day off. To say we had a grand time would be an understatement. Take this review w/ a grain of salt as everyone has preferences. The place is not for someone who is looking for hotel-like accomodations.

Reviewed By anelorebHôtel bien situé pour visiter le nord de Bali à condition de louer un scooter. Staff agréable et serviable. Petit déjeuner délicieux et complet. Vu sur le coucher de soleil, spa et piscine appréciable. Dommage d’être réveillé à 5h du matin par la mosquée, eau chaude dans la salle de bain à améliorer.
