We brought our freshly caught grouper fish here and Philip prepared it for us in three delicious ways. Everything was cooked to perfection and so tasty. And the service was friendly and attentive. A true slice of old Town charm. Highly recommend!!! Muy bueno!!!

Enjoyed the music, the food was also surprisingly good. American food in Mexico can sometimes be suspect but this wasnât the case for our visit. Liked the wings and ribs along with the music. Live band was about to play when we left and was told it was family friendly as well if we wanted to stay but we were tired from a long day of activities.

My husband and I had watched a college basketball game at Retro Burger a couple of years ago and had a good experience. This time we were disappointed. Although they were able to find our game, we were seated in front of a large fan blowing on us right by the restrooms, so there was a steady stream of guests walking between us and the TV. Our waiter was a "hotshot" who seemed to think very highly of himself, but he wasn't very attentive. They had a chicken wing special for $5. We tried honey garlic and they were really good. I had Mac n Cheese with bacon which was creamy and tasty. My husband's burger however was very garlicky and I didn't think it even tasted like beef. Yuck! The atmosphere inside is very sterile while the outdoor area looks a bit more festive, but is crowded with smokers. We won't be back!

Staying at La Costa put us in close proximity to Fish & Grill, so it was our choice for our first evening in San Jose del Cabo. My partner chose the scallops in garlic and white wine saucune. It was so delicious, he mopped up the sauce after the succulent scallops were gone. I chose the mixed seafood cocktail, made from a family recipe quite different from the Clamato versions from northern Mexico. It was so full of scallops, squid and shrimp that I could barely finish it. So delicious. I've heard that the sea bass is exquisite, also. We ventured in here on a saturday night fight night. There was not a crowd at all but the Seafood platter was delicious. My wife ended up getting a pina colada in a pineapple and it looked tasty. We returned to Meson de Angel I wanted my father a real foodie to experience it. The 3 B mojitos are fantastic. Our waiter so charming. The courtyard setting and lighting made us want to stay all night. The shrimp appetizer unbelievable. Everyone loved their food. The steak was our least favorite. This should be in the top four restaurants on San Jose!
