We ventured in here on a saturday night fight night. There was not a crowd at all but the Seafood platter was delicious. My wife ended up getting a pina colada in a pineapple and it looked tasty. Wasnt overpriced and also the website pics of the venue look better than real and this is absolutely no reflection of the great service and food we had.Dear chundell,Thank you for the kind words! We returned to Meson de Angel I wanted my father a real foodie to experience it. The 3 B mojitos are fantastic. Our waiter so charming. The courtyard setting and lighting made us want to stay all night. The shrimp appetizer unbelievable. Everyone loved their food. The steak was our least favorite. This should be in the top four restaurants on San Jose!

This restaurant has everything, great seafood and wonderful Italiam, including the best chicken parmigiana ever, so tender. The clam chowder was hardy, hot, perfectly seasoned, and a meal in itself. The homemade bread was the perfect accompaniment. Two clams in open shells lay in the bottom of the bowl, alongside a sea of clams. I chose fish tacos, with a choice of blackened, panko or grilled. They were filled with corn, slaw, pico, sauce and generous amounts of fresh fish. Delicious! Great friendly service, too.

Not sure if this is the best restaurant in town, but it sure was one of the best we visited over a 2 week holiday. Highly recommend. The dinning area is basically in the backyard of a home in a garden area and is quite romantic. The food is well prepared and presented and is of high quality. There was a singer there the night we visited and the service was well above standard. Worth the effort to get there.
