This is simple... we've travelled the world and eaten ice cream everywhere we've been. We found this place in our last week of travelling. All flavours we tried are very good, but trust me when I say this... the triple chocolate is the best we've ever eaten. Anywhere. Ever.

We checked tripadvisor for a lunch nearby and La Buchetta came up with great reviews. What a flop. Clearly a place that is over-reaching in its creativity but not in a good way. The antipasto was prosciutto (actually good) with stracciatella, with the aim of differentiating from the classical mozzarella combo. But guess what, would be better off with the original instead of the runny and more milkier-tasting option. As mains we had one pasta that was so memorable I can’t even recall after less than a week and another tagliatelle with duck ragu and cocoa. I remember that one because the duck in the beef ragu was boiled to death and the cocoa powder sprinkle didn’t work at all. For desert, the red berries mousse was good, light and not too rich. If the meal was priced in line with other classic osterias I would have given it a break but being overpriced just tipped my scale to a full 3 stars. Enjoy any of the more affordable let-downs instead.

The ice cream was pleasant and there were a variety of flavours available.
The ice cream is reasonably priced but the service was a little impersonal and not one member of staff could even smile nor say thank you.
It sounds strange but maybe it was a little over creamy but the raspberry was vrey good but the chocolate not the best.

I was a student in Florence 9 years ago and returned back for a vacation with my husband. Pino's was the FIRST meal I insisted we have upon arriving and it was truly better than I remember. Pino is still there, as charming and welcoming as ever (English speaking welcome), and serves what I consider the best panini I have ever had. Crisp, salty bread, delicious ingredients and so affordable. Lunch for two is 9 euros! Whatever Sandwich you order, make sure to add his pesto!!! It's out of this world good. A MUST STOP IN Florence!

We are a cozy activity in the historic center of Florence. We mainly deal with Tuscan products, especially small agricultural productions, which differentiate us from large commercial distribution. In our shop we make cutting boards and panini / schiacciate with quality gastronomic products from Tuscany (Cheese, Ham, Cold cuts) that we have even for direct sale. You can drink also good wine touscanian too. If you also want to have something nice and traditional you should come at Bufalo Trippone

Guys it is a must to visit this small but very cozy shop, while in Florence! Food is glorious and prices are very reasonable. The owners are very charming. It was a very nice experience to eat our food inside this shop, surrounded by Tuscany's specialties such as wine bottles, olive oil etc.
On our last day, we asked the owners to prepare for us the best of their best that included cuts of different types of cheese and cold cuts accompanied by bread and bruscettas with typical sauces. This was simply amazing and financially worth it!
Cheers From Malta!

For incredible fresh Tuscan meat, fresh Tuscan cheese, fresh veg and fresh focaccia... this place is a must!
It is quite hidden in the streets of Florence and from the outside you might not spot it but it’s worth the search.
The food is amazing, the owner will help you go through the menu and nothing takes your fancy he will offer suggestions for you.
I had focaccia with Tuscan ham, pecorino, fried white onions, honey, and balsamic.... for €3.00... incredible.
The place is not fancy but for a pit stop whilst exploring Florence it is absolutely ideal.
The locals were all coming to get their lunches before going back to work in their shops... I think that says it all!

Artisanal Italian gelato at its finest.

Reviewed By hetta_howes - London, United Kingdom

We visited this place after Reading all the reviews online and the reality didn't disappoint! The shop itself was really thoughtfully decorated and there was a good choice of flavours, including some more unusual ones like Cafe Mocha. The gelato was home made and the owners clearly know what they are doing - I can't think of many places where I've been treated to such creamy, authentic ice cream! It's slightly off the beaten track but worth venturing from the city centre for.

we have chosen this restaurant for a special reunion with friends from Bangkok & cannes.
four of us are not big eaters so we asked if we could share 2 entrees before our main courses. the manager (in suits) said that he will ask the chef if our request is possible & never returned to our table.
the waiter who took care of our table was much more pleasant than the manager.
ended up, we were charged with 4 entrees instead of 2 without being told. we only found out about this after we left the restaurant!!
the food is good but it is a real pity when you are not very straight forward to your clients!!

Panini Toscani

Panini Toscani is a paninoteca (sandwich shop) offering high quality traditional Tuscan products in the shade of Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, the "Duomo di Firenze". The venue, with fourteenth-century vaulted ceilings and columns, is located in an ancient horse stable: a genuine corner of medieval Florence. In our paninoteca you can assemble your panino (sandwich, or, literally translated: "little bread"), choosing among several varieties of bread (like, for example, Tuscan bread, Tuscan flatbread, with olives, with walnuts...) and a few typical Tuscan cold cuts and cheeses, not to mention a selection of vegetables, which you can also make your vegetarian Sandwich from. We'll help you choose the ingredients for your best-of-class panino by making you taste our cured meats and cheeses and explaining quality and virtues of each and every product. You will be able to pair your panino with a good glass of Tuscan wine, while inside our shop or sitting at the tables outside, in the magnificent sight of the Duomo. It is of the utmost importance, for us, to offer high quality products and freshly baked bread. In very crowded days, like in the weekends, it may happen that we run out of bread before closing time: we apologize for the inconvenience in case of such unfortunate circumstance. You can eat your panino at your ease sitting at our tables. We just kindly ask you to leave your seat for other guests when you are finished. And, if you have tried our authentic Tuscan panini, and you have liked them... please, leave here your review! Dear customers, Panini Toscani is very keen to thank all of you for your daily wonderful comments and thanks to those, we are very proud to keep offering you the best of Tuscany food flavour. Our mainly aim is offering the quality of the street food and drinks, considering that is the best way to show how the food and drinks could be a pleasure for the human being. We are daily committed in keeping the range between quality and price of our products as high as possible, but unfortunately we are in front of a choice: lowering down the quality or raising a bit the price of it... so consequently our decision goes for the second choice because we believe in the quality of our food and drinks. We again thank you all for your understanding. Panini Toscani
