As we were back in the region, we visited Vau again. I could make a joke, but the plates are not large enough for the food, please check the Wiener Schnitzel of my friend.The red wine was excellent, light, just perfect for the summer! Enjoy the fresh asparagus and strawberries of the region

Sehr gute Qualität der Paella mit Meeresfrüchten. Der Service ist zwar nett, jedoch nicht vom Fach. Ständig wird etwas vergessen. Trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen.

Nice staff, good and unusual food choices as well as the classics, the only mistake is the tomatoes in the bruschetta were ice cold from the fridge and were hard, flavours not developed.Restaurant is clean and modern, family friendly, busy (you should book ahead), waiting times variable, you feel welcome.

We went there to show our visitors a real german beergarten !I have to say the place is really nice; and to seat in a garten on a hot day was very comfortable! Beer, selfmade, taste also good ( to me at least )It was friday , so they also had music , german folk songs, it was good for the really german feeling but food!!!!!!! oh well to make a long story short- don't go there to eat, just to have a beer, may be appeteisers to the beer , but not more I don't think that I ever will eat there againBut I will go there to enjoy the evening in a garten with a wonderful dark beer !

This place is a classic German very goog Buergerliches Place. Food excellent quality and very tasty. We had dinner there with lamb shank and beef, which was very well done. Rare we asked and rare we got, which is not often the case in Germany. Great sauces and veggies.

Several people recommended this pub and I was not disappointed. The main part is a huge, really old timber pub with lots of dark corners and loads of atmosphere. The rear section is a spacious, light restaurant decorated as a rock cafe with electric guitars in cases on the wall. The menu is extensive and the service fast and very friendly. You need to make a reservation in advance as the restaurant was fully booked at 7pm on a Tuesday! We were lucky and grabbed a table for an hour and just had one plate. All the meals were excellent and the cost reasonable. I will return.

What a great place! We stopped by for a late-ish lunch on our drive through the Black Forest. Even at 1:45 we were welcomed graciously. The food was served quickly and so delicious!

We visited this local restaurant twice in the evening. Good range of dishes with a friendly service. The option to sit outside in local village setting is worth considering. We had venison and sea bass for main courses and lamb shank on our other visit. Certainly not the cheapest place with 2 courses and wine at 70 euro but would recommend.

We have been here for dinner during a business trip. The hotel suggested this place and normally we search for local food not Italian one when we are abroad. Well, Il David was a big and wonderful surprise: food is superlative: tomatoes soup, biological filet and salad dressed in Italian style. Cakes are also super, panna cotta and semifreddo homemade. Wine chart is also good. The owner is an Italian couple, very kind. Seems to be at home. Hope to have the chance to see them and their food again soon! And what we did not fast was pizza: we dreamt its smell for a the night!
