I enjoyed a very comfortable biz stay, here in the countryside. Very friendly personnel, and the dinner was very good. Wifi was bit challenging , but one cannot have it all! Room was large with lovely view.

I was here on business when only business travel was allowed during COVID-19 lockdown. The room was on the stuffy side, too full and easy to hit your toe. I have no issue that there was not much service because instead there was plenty of parking and great breakfast service. With max 10 guest (guessing from breakfast and cars) I was expecting attention and service, but the housekeeping was lacking (no toilet paper refill which is the bare minimum I ask for), rooms filled up from lowest number. There was no flagging on the booking portal that extra measurements had been taken and there was no info in the hotel for that either, and as the cleaning was lacking, I didn’t feel very comfortable wrt cleanliness (but that just guessing, I would have asked but couldn’t find anyone) Good for winter: there was heating. As the room was super-hot (as it was too cold to have the window open), I assume in summer there is no breeze. Totally overprized for what was offered. As the baths were closed there is really nothing to be done in the village (except business).

This was our third stay at Wacker having always booked online from Australia. It is a perfect launching place for the many interesting villages around here with our favourite Rodach, just up the road. Coburg with it's fantastic Veste is 10 min away by car. ( don't miss out on the European Glass Museum, a real eyeopener.) The staff at the hotel are very helpful and keen to oblige our every need including the loan of bicycles for exploring the many ( easy) bike paths around the village. Breakfast is well presented and the evening meals are from a wonderful traditional menu and you can enjjoy the beer garden with the locals. Make sure you book early as the hotel can be booked out when special events are held in the area.
