Ayia Napa Resorts | Places to Stay in Ayia Napa

This resort town, with its great beaches, has a bit of a Spring Break atmosphere (the parties start in the late afternoon and go all night). If dancing in a bikini is not your thing, though, no worries—you can explore a medieval monastery or enjoy cruises on the lovely blue water. Families will want to visit Water World, the biggest theme waterpark in Europe.

5 star holiday!

Reviewed By CEBManchester

After booking a very last minute holiday due to our original holiday being cancelled by the travel company we didn’t know what to expect from the hotel. All I can say is what a find! Our original room wasn’t the best with a very small balcony overlooking the trades entrance however the staff on reception managed to upgrade us after a couple of nights to a pool view room. It made such a difference! All the staff are fantastic & really friendly. The food was amazing, pool area great & we especially liked the sunbed allocation system as it removed the early morning sunbed dash. The entertainment was generally very good, could have done with a bit more for younger kids in the mornings. The evening shows were mostly good, in particular the queen tribute, sound of soul & the magician. The location of the hotel wasn’t really for us, we like to walk to towns/villages & the nearest was Ayia Napa which was far too lively for us. All in all this is a 5 star hotel & we would definitely recommend it!

Absolutely gorgeous hotel and amazing location

Reviewed By Orchy84

I am writing this from the poolside, the hotel is beautiful - we have two classic rooms - 212 and 223 on 2nd floor. People say they're dated but they're really lovely. Bit noisy out the front early hours of the morning but nothing too bad or out of the ordinary. We have a lovely sea view too. The pools are just beautiful as is the private beach. The staff all seem very nice and helpful and we have only had breakfast here but there is plenty to choose from for even the fussiest of eaters. There is a large deposit payable upon check in of €300 per room but you can purchase drinks, ice creams, services etc and have it billed to your room so they deduct it from your deposit, so no harm done there. Overall I rate this hotel 10/10, I would definitely come back here, you have everything you need right at the hotel but there's also plenty beyond it too if you want to venture out. Lots of sun beds, no scrabbling to get one at 6am. Towels provided daily you just have to return them to make sure you aren't billed. Fabulous hotel, so glad we came. Thanks Adams!!

Aktea Beach Village

Spread openly on a unspoiled seashore gulf, next to the nature trail which connects Ayia Napa’s seafront from Nissi Beach to Cape Greco. Aktea is located only 2 km from Ayia Napa center with its bars, shops and restaurants. The location combines the sandy golden beaches of Sandy bay (around 200 meters away) and Nissi Beach (around 200 meters away), with the rocky formations of a virgin landscape, the privacy of seclusion with the centrality of a cosmopolitan tourist resort.

Makronisos Holiday Village

Ideally located in a peaceful spot on the outskirts of Ayia Napa, The Makronisos Village is a complete tourist village with a rustic feel. The sweeping sands of Nissi Bay with its wide range of water sports are close by, as are tavernas and a water park. The pulsing nightlife in Ayia Napa can be reached in five minutes by car, or a quick hop on the bus from outside the hotel. Checking in at the lovely reception area, you will receive a warm welcome reflecting the attentive, high standard of service to come. Attractively decorated and well equipped bungalows with spacious terraces are set among extensive gardens filled with palms and beautiful bougainvillea. The gardens create a lush back drop to the large, beautiful swimming pool with children's pool attached. A wealth of facilities and an extensive leisure programme for all ages mean you'll be torn between an energetic time or a chilled out break. So why not have a bit of both? Engage with fellow guests in volleyball, football, tennis, or water polo, to name a few, before surrendering to a dreamy massage. Don't worry about the children; they'll be well taken care of at the Kids' club, with endless all-day fun with new-found friends. Buffet meals are served in the hotel's inviting restaurant, and sandwiches, ice cream and other snacks can be bought from the bar and by the pool. Each evening entertainment is laid on in the form of barbecues, bingo, karaoke and more.

Great place to stay

Such a lovely, relaxing place to stay! Set in well maintained gardens, it’s everything you need for a good holiday. The apartments are modern, spotlessly clean, thanks to amazing cleaning staff and well equipped. If there’s something you think you need, it’s dealt with almost immediately by the lovely staff on reception. The pool is well looked after, also manned by a life guard. A pool side bar offers a good menu, with quality food. Bar staff are happy, friendly and glad to help. A bus or taxi ride away from the hustle and bustle or a little walk away for fantastic restaurants and beautiful beaches. A little gem of a place to stay which I look forward to coming back again for a fourth visit.

Panthea Holiday Village

Great family holiday

Reviewed By jenniferjS7687LH

Just got back from panthea after an amazing 9 nights stay. We are a party of 2 families with kids age 5yrs, 2 are age 9yrs and 14 yrs. After reading some bad reviews from previous guests I was a bit concerned but they where sooooo wrong. Accommodation We emailed the hotel before arrival and requested pools views. To my delight we got what we had requested. (Ground floor stepping out to the pool). We stayed in block 1403 which and 1406. The rooms where clean on arrival and cleaners came every 2-3 days. The plug sockets where all English one's so no need to take travel plugs. Lots of clean towels and clean bed linen was provided on request. Shampoo, conditioner, soap and toilet rolls all provided when cleaners attend.Hairdryers are in rooms. Our bathroom shaver plug was sealed off but another room wasn't so it's pot luck. We had plug sockets available where the other families where sealed off but no problems as there where 4-5 plug sockets per room. No bugs or cockroaches seen all holiday, only friendly cats and 1 hedgehog. Air-conditioning was fab. You do need too keep the key card in the slot and the door closed for it to stay on. OK for us as we got sunbeds outside our room so could leave it on all day and have easy access to rooms throughout the day. If I had to nit pick I would say have handles on sliding doors from outside. Kids opening doors smear suncream all over glass and does not look nice. Entertainment We stayed over whitsun week and no problem with sunbeds. Lots of availability! There is daytime entertainment but it can easily be missed. I asked a few times when it was and it does not follow the programme advertised. There is only one member of entertainment team and we did manage to join in with water polo a few times which is popular with everyone. No darts, ping pong or volleyball which was a shame because my teenage son loves joining in with this. I feel the rep does need to go around with whistle or announce it a few times asking people and motivating them to get people to join in. We did make use if pool table, ping pong and volleyball but no tournement competitions going on. No water aerobics at 10-11am as advertised the whole time I was there. We did venture out a few times but not till dinnertime 12 noon so we could of missed some of the entertainment, does not follow programme so u have to ask. If I had to review this i would suggest getting more of a competition/tournement going and maybe handing a Certificate out at the night to the winners! Something different every night for entertainment after the kids disco so no complaints there. Entertainment till around 10pm. Only small complaint about kids mini disco. Played the same songs every night. Maybe learn a few more songs and mix it up a little. Waterpark This is one of the best waterpark hotels we have been to for thrill rides. Brilliant for my 9 and 14 Yr olds. Kept them and myself entertained. Only downside is it is very sparse on inflatable rings for rides. Not very busy so you don't have to wait to long for one. Maybe need to get 10 more rings for the park. Easy access to waterpark. Entrance from the back of the kids club. Cannot comment on kids club. My children did not use this. I did not see many children using this facility???? Food/drinks/staff First of all. The staff where amazing. Very helpful and polite. Always provide a good service. Tables where cleared once food was eaten. Drinks always topped up. 1 man in the main restaurant always went one step further and interacted with the kids. Such a friendly man. Bar staff amazing. Provided service with a smile and drinks where not made weak. I was happy. Pool staff the same. Polite and friendly. If kids cried they came over to make sure they ok. Food was very good. Different styles each night. English food, Chinese, Italian, greek. E.g shephards pies, Sunday dinners with broccoli, carrots, peas, curries, samosas, spring roll, spaghetti bolognase, pizza, lasagna, lots of rice, fish and meat dishes. Always kids food available, chicken nuggets, chips, pasta. Deserts are a bit basic. The same 4 cakes every night. I'm not a desert person so no problem for me. Breakfast meals are good. Fresh omelettes made at cooking station. Pancakes for kids and English/continental breakfast available. Good selection of cocktails available on all inclusive and beer. Snack bar provides good English food for the picky eaters, Lots of pizza, chicken nuggets, burgers chips etc We always are prepared to eat out a few times but there was lots of choice in restaurant so no need too this holiday. We just went out after the entainment finished at hotel for drinks. Main restaurant 7am-10am breakfast Pool snack bar 10am-12pm Main restaurant dinnertime 12-2.30pm Pool snack bar 3pm -5pm Main restaurant evening meal 6.30pm -9pm Drinks avaliable all day untill midnight. Location Wow this is the one of the best things. Right outside on Nissi Avenue, Lots of family bars especially bedrock. Great for families with kids. Every bar has entertainment. If you head back down toward nissi beach most restaurants have parks around the side for the kids. Odyossis sports bar brilliant to watch footy, Lots of screens and a massive screen at the back, 2 bouncy castles and amusements for kids. The gardens is another good bar, 2 bars up for football too. If u are adults it's 10 mins walk to the square with all the night life, bars clubs etc. I was worried because of the reputation of Ayia Napa in the past and not good for families but seriously. Its 2 separate areas. Nissi avenue for families and the top end where the square is gets lively if you like to party. It caters for both. The balance is perfect. Its 10 mins walk to harbour. You can either go the road way or there is a path to walk along the back of the hotel. Sandy beach to the left of the harbour and not too busy. Nissi beach is amazing. Sea abit more calmer but it does get busy. Sometime no sun bed loungers left. Lots watersports in both. We hired car, 80 euros, 2 days. Went to Cape greco national park. Sunset amazing! Cliff dived off the sea caves, visited lovers ridge. Ventured to the Famagusta view point which can be seen with binoculars, we went to Protarus Fig Tree bay beach all within 15 mins drive. Lots of people hire the buggy carts to venture over the national park. Best boat trip for kids is yellow submarine The staff so friendly on there. About 2 hours long. Diving show with glass bottom Lots of fish seen. 3 diving boards and a slide. Swim in the caves and cliff dive. Thoroughly enjoyed this. There is a massive theme park next to panthea. You can buy tokens or wrist bands. My 9 Yr olds and 14 Yr olds loved this as they are thrill seekers. Overall we give this holiday 10/10 we are already looking for next year to return. THANK YOU xxx
