Real authentic austrian place, very cosy, family-owned with fireplace, hunting tropheys and just a few tables. Not so easy to reach unless you go there by car, especially during the night, but sure worth it!We were seven and ordered spare ribs which were simply delicious!!! Make sure you make a reservation and tell them in advance you want ribs, they'll be ready as soon as you arrive. With wine and water, the whole bill for seven was around 100 euros so more than reasonably priced. The owner was also very friendly, spoiled us with free schnaps and joked with us. Top restaurant choice in Mallnitz!

Restaurant Raineralm is close to the Ankogel Bergbahn. After we came down from the Ankogel funicular we looked around for lunch. The signposts pointing us to Raineralm were at the right place at the right moment. Raineralm is a wooden structure with plenty of room to sit outside. But the inside the restaurant is also clean and spacious. The menu specializes in local food, made with fresh ingredients. It is a simple menu; don't expect to extract a full three course meal from it, but a good and tasty lunch can be ordered from the menu. I selected eggs and bacon, with bread on the side, with a large beer to go with that. The meal was tasty and the beer cold, although only bottled beer is available here. Prices are friendly and the service of the "mother of the house" is impeccable. Parking spaces are available close to the building. To be recommended

Hotel strepitoso, di una gentilezza immane. Una cameriera parlava anche italiano, e dopo averci accolti bagnati fradici vestiti da bikers, ci hanno fornito un menu superlativo: la loro zuppa al pomodoro toscana la ricorderemo sempre!Super consigliato, per quanto riguarda il ristorante, logicamente.

This hotel is an excellent choice to stay if you travel to the Mölltal Gletscher. It's a family-owned hotel, who are excellent hosts, very friendly and nice. The rooms are very cosy and nice, the meals are delicious and you can be sure you will never be hungry there :) The service is very friendly.

Dopo la fantastica visita alla forra una fermata è obbligatoria!Piatti ottimi, servizio veloce e gentile, prezzo giusto. Attenti alle mele... l'albero sopra le panche esterne ogni tanto lascia cadere una mela!!!

Just had lynch here as only place in Mallnitz where kitchen is open for lunch until 3 PM. Simple, but honest food. The omelette is scrumptious!!

Abbiamo scelto questo locale, uno dei pochi aperti nella zona dopo le 19:30, dove ci hanno fatto posto in una zona antistante la piscina improvvisando una cena per 6 persone. La scelta del cibo non è molta, è nemmeno la qualità è straordinaria, ma la fame ha fatto sì che tutto sembrasse buono. Alla fine ci siamo accontentati di ciò che la casa passava, ma con tutta sincerità ritengo che il livello del locale é poco più di un fast food. Anche il conto credo sia leggermente fuori quota, considerato il servizio e la qualità del cibo mangiato. Sicuramente non ci torno.

When I visit Obervellach for couple of days with my girlfriend this restaurant was our favourite :) They made really good pizza, like vegetarian, tuna, pikant , and '' house pizza'' - this one is the Best ! :) Also Gordon Blue is good choice. The staff is very friendly and efficient. They also have a terrace from which is beautiful view of the mountains and tennis courts.

This country inn and the fabulous site where it is located are so lovely that it appears to have jumped out of a painting. And the fact that you can also dine so beautifully here, fits the picture, too.

Abbiamo mangiato gli spatzle locali (gnocchetti bianchi non verdi) che non erano un granchè, mentre il piatto di ravioloni alla carne erano buoni. Come dolce abbiamo preso solo una fetta di torta Sacher di buon livello. Prezzi nella media, acqua gratis.

We had wonderfull time this afternoon visiting Obervellach Launsberghuette. Very nice couple running it, recommended us the food which was delicious and .. Do not miss schnaps" (short alkoholic home made drink). Nice view, all around so green..if you are nearby, it is worth to find it.
