The restaurant is down the road from my hotel. Went with business colleague. The place was very empty when we went strange for a Friday night however service and food were all good. Good choice of food on menu.

The title of the review says it all. We had a couple of pizzas - both were good, baked well, not the "thick slabs" of bread an cheese that you sometimes see - much more in the neapolitan (original) style.

Met friends out for dinner at Barrel in early January 2015. The restaurant is well appointed and has spacious seating, a large floor space for dancing and an area for a live band.The menu has a wide selection of dishes from steaks to sushi. I had sushi rolls for an appetizer and a ribeye steak for the main. All the food was very tasty and the steak is one of the best I've had in Kazakhstan (including Line Brew in Astana). Definitely a bit more expensive than the regular restaurants in Atyrau but well worth the value.

Went to Hutorok for dinner last week on the recommendation of friends who live in Atyrau. Itâs like walking into your Ukranian grandmothers house, that type of feeling which is great, you feel right at home. The stroganoff is delicious, the mutton was not bad, could have been better and the service was very kind and easy-going but quick. Bit higher pricing than other dining options in the city but still a good meal and we left quite satisfied.

Went with my family and ordered the octopus salad. It was basically arugula with 4 tiny pieces of octopus. My duck however was tasty but came with obvious frozen veggies from a bag. Their house red wine was the worst I've ever had! It was spoiled wine. Their mozzarella tasted homemade which was the only good thing we had.

I have been here few times with my friends. Both interiors inside and outside are good and stylish. Food is also good. We had fish, plov, pelmeni, sushi beer, wine and other different things. So no complaints. The service was very attentive and courteous. So this one of the best places in Atyrau to visit.

Had a steak they said it was the best in town so I got to say I want be trying the other if this is the best. The staff was great and the facilities were clean and nicely laid out being I have only been to another restaurant in Kazakhstan I donât know if the place is dated are if this is the norm for the culture in due time I will know more.
