Reviewed By Wilbert DA quite big room with 4 separate beds and a table, clean, good shower. The location is good amid the woods and biketrails all around, walking to the village takes about 15 minutes. Good restaurant, breakfast starts at 0800.

Reviewed By CoenElaineWat 2 overnachtingen was, voelde als een week vakantie. Wat een prachtige locatie. Zo rustig, en ontspannen. De combinatie huisje/camperen is onwijs leuk. Toevallig kenden wij het concept al uit Oostenrijk, en wisten dus wat we konden verwachten van de accomodatie. Onze accomodatie had een toilet en een kleine koelkast, met kids zeer prettig. Sta je open om in de openbare doucheruimte te douchen, dan is dit echt een aanrader! Maar de locatie was boven verwachting. De onopvallende aanwezigheid van het beheer, de vrijheid, alles was goed. Wat een feest om met de kindjes een kampvuur te kunnen en mogen maken, onbetaalbaar, de gezichtjes en de ervaring! De omgeving is fenomenaal mooi, het landschap, de wandelgebieden: kortom, een weekend als een vakantie!

The worst experience ever
Reviewed By Laura IThe worst spa and hotel experience ever! Never been more disappointed, a total rip off for a premium price. We read so many good reviews and we were very excited to come here, but reality was quite the opposite, never coming back here. The indoor area around the thermal spas is extremely cold, a lot of people were hanging out near the entrance to thermal pool because it was the only warm place in the whole area. As a hotel guest the entrance is for free (other people need to pay entrance fee), but everything was for extra cost (sauna, steam room, jacuzzi), all facilities are old, outdated and most of them are broken. We tried Turkish bath for 4Eur, it was a plastic tube with way too much eucalyptus oil and a cold shower at the end. Showers were cold and there was no option to control the water temperature. There are a few massage jets in the thermal pools, but there’s a limited time to use them - beeper tells you to move to the next one each 30sec, also, there is a line for them. Felt like hearding cattle. Weirdly, there’s a lot of “no kissing” signs at the thermal pools. There’s a small caffe at the thermal spa area - very cold, feels like an old canteen. Hotel provided no robes, slippers or towels for spa, poor service at the reception, no suggestions or help. Room was very cold, separate beds instead of double bed. In the reception they didn’t want to give us extra towels for the room, we had to “exchange” our old ones for the new ones in the lobby, having to stand in the middle of the hotel lobby with a swimming suits is really not acceptable. Also, at the reception they asked us if it’s first time visiting their hotel, although they give us no information about facilities or possibility to book spa treatments (even when we asked about them, they gave us a broshure and didn’t even try to help us translate). Restaurant is way over priced - 25Eur for a meal is outrageous, considering the quality and atmosphere. Located in the middle of the lobby/corridor between thermal spa and hotel. The hostess didn’t even bother to show us the table or bring menus, felt like “self-service”. Salmon was with no taste and very plain. However, the waitresses was very nice and helpful. My boyfriend liked his shrimp fettuccini. All in all, would never recommend going to this place.

Reviewed By joram13Met mijn vader naar arcen geweest voor de Hertog Jan fabriek en overnacht in deze heerlijke B&B. Echt een aanrader. Heerlijke bedden. Lekkere douche. Goed ontbijt met alles er op en aan. En de eigenaar is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Voor ons een dikke 10!

Reviewed By f650fThere were used condoms in the bedroom closet, partying neighbours made for a bad night's sleep. Servicedesk would only give a small discount for a next stay, but we are not interested in ever coming back again.

Various walking and cycling routes surrounding the hotel bring you to the rich flora and fauna areas of the Meuse valley and National Park Maasduinen. You can rent bikes at Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Rooland.
Overpriced hotel!
Reviewed By Yatin SI stayed for a night and have to say that the hotel is highly overpriced with bare basics. The pillows are really big and uncomfortable, the heating didn't work properly either! Not the best of experiences I must say.
