We've been visiting here for 3 years. It is NOT sophisticated, a wooden shack with no windows but it's the ideal atmosphere for the nearby swimming/surfing Half Moon Bay. They do great burgers, authentic ethnic food like curried goat and beers. All manner of unusual flags pinned to the walls. I would give it 5 stars if it was not for the DISGUSTING toilets with no water that were still not fixed when we went back 3 days later.

Left Shirley Heights after ten minutes because it was painfully touristy. Ended up listening to an AMAZING live band and having dinner and drinks at Road House. Itâs a late crowd for a Sunday night, but itâs super fun. Be prepared to be the only tourists in the place!

Quite simply a wonderful place to eat or drink in Antigua-Great food and drinks -my favourite is the Rum Punch -Carol is a fabulous host and always caters for me as a Vegetarian-We always come back as Carol is very kind to some local cats that she feeds with Cat Biscuits just outside the restaurant (So they donât have to beg for food ) -She has had the cats splayed and Neutred and are well looked after -We are animal lovers so will always come back -Last time we were there she had a Regga band playing so we had a little dance -Prices very reasonable compared to the other restaurant on the beach -Would definitely recommend if you want a real Caribbean experience.

We turned up at lunchtime walked up to the reception station where 3 staff were present and were ignored whilst they carried on their conversation for 2 minutes. When we asked for a table for 2 the staff looked at each other and said find where you want to sit..... We promptly found one. They all had only a tablecloth on it, no cutlrey, glasses or menus. I went back to pick up the only menu I could find - an A5 upright menu from the desk.Whilst looking at said menu a waitress turned up - we assumed to take our order. Alas she took back the menu to write down the prices for another clients bill. I asked her if this was the only menu she had .. "O no we do have other menus - I just like to use this one" when she finished with the prices it was grudingly returned to us... When our waitress appeared to take our order and we asked options for cold fruit juices - we were offered carrot or cucumber and 7 Up. The food menu was also very limited - that with the lack of non alcoholic drinks and very poor service made up our minds - we left

This is a friendly pub, slightly down market compared to nearby bars but full of friendly staff who are eager to help. There is often some kind of entertainment going on and I enjoyed sitting in there watching life go by.

Since we were staying at 'The Copper and Lumber Store Historic Inn' we were served here a breakfast everyday, which was included in the room rate. There was no buffet and for an upmarket British style hotel the breakfast was rather modest: continental with fresh fruit, fruit juice, yoghurt, butter, jam, toast and a muffin.Outdoor seating by a big lawn is very pleasant, but this could not be said of the waitress, the only rather unfriendly person we met at this hotel. On our departure day we had a quite good Lobster Salad for lunch. Since the restaurant is not open in the evenings one has to go elsewhere for dinner.

Hubby and I ate here when we visited Antigua in March and saw a hand painted roadside advertising a Curry & Reggae Night and decided to go. We thought it was a local thing, not an upscale restaurant, until we arrived. They had a great reggae band! They had curry and non-curry options to choose from. The prices were in par with other upscale restaurants and the service was friendly. It was casual, relaxed, and very enjoyable. The lobster bisque was amazing and our favorite part of the meal. We came here early on a Friday evening with a big (14) multi-age family group. Some of us needed to eat quickly, some were in no rush, some only wanted drinks, some wanted full meals - the staff were all helpful, patient and delightful. Thank you Trappas for the perfect place before our family event the next day!

Considering this is a famous land mark in Antigua it is completely rubbish for disabled people the view is gorgeous and the steel band is amazing but other than that for a wheel chair you are in real trouble
