My wife and I opted for the 7 course tasting menu which was excellent, chef take a bow. The only small point was that when the tasting menu was served it would have been nice if each course was explained by the server, we were given a card listing the courses but I think it would have been a nice idea.
Breakfast menu was full of all the usual choices, we both opted for the smoked haddock and poached eggs, all cooked to perfection.

We���re not sure there���s such a thing as a Pink Olive, but if there is it���s sure to be as unique as this wonderful Andover restaurant. Full of character, this stunning dining room is warm and elegant with a refined feel throughout the exposed brick walls and contemporary designer style furnishings. Service is always of the very highest standard at the Pink Olive Indian Restaurant, with always smiling staff ready with recommendations from the extensive Indian menu. Though Indian inspired, the Pink Olive menu is certainly not traditional with a range of unusual and exciting dishes, attractively presented alongside the more well known curries of the typical tandoori and favourite sundries.

Since moving to Andover nearly four years ago, we tried all the different Indian restaurants in town until finally we discovered the best one in Weyhill, on the outskirts of town.
Fabulous in every way, Pink Olive surpasses all the others by a mile!
My favourite dish is Chicken Tawa - a 'sizzling' dish with a unique mildly spicy taste with lashings of melting Cheddar cheese. It's so good, I rarely try anything else!!!
On the other hand, Trudi has tried most items on the menu and says that all of them so far are great!
Open all afternoon and evening on Sundays, the freshly cooked banquet option is great if you've got hungry mouths to feed, but the full menu is available too.
Whenever he comes to visit, my younger son ALWAYS wants to go here - what more can I say?
Try it, you won't regret it!

You walk in and get the normal pub type of feel but if you’re eating you go to the side and there is a very nice large dining area. Attentive staff also make it different to a pub.
Food (we went for pub staples of fish and chips and a burger) was nicely cooked although the fish batter was very rich.
They have a nice feature at the pub with a choice of 3 or 7 mile walks using the pub as a base.
It’s a nice place to spend a very pleasant lunch.

Visited here a few times to take advantage of the Monday special offer with my husband. The food is always lovely, my husband usually has the Chicken Xacutti, and I especially love the Spicy Chicken Tikka starter so much I wish there was a main course version! Last time I took my notoriously fussy eater daughter, who ate until she was stuffed then took the rest home for lunch the next day. Result!
The staff are always pleasant, and were made to feel welcome.

The Hawk, what a find! A fabulous pub/restaurant with rooms ( under restoration at this time, but still available). We were revisiting the area after a twenty year gap and were needing somewhere near to our friends in Andover but that offered exceptional food. Well, top class food, something for all tastes here plus an excellent wine list. The staff were professional, friendly and attentive. The building is an old one, thus no lifts here. The rooms are functionary at the moment but the hotel is under a refurbishment plan, wished i could of stayed to help out asI love getting involved in interior design and could of offered lots of tips from the many excellent places we regularly stay at. We really enjoyed our stay and will have it on our list of places we'd like to return to.

We have not visited for some months so were looking forward to an evening out. As usual very busy so we booked ahead so managed a prime spot. The service, the attentiveness and advice from staff couldn't have been better with the beers and wine hitting the spot. We had the mixed platter for two as a starter and then the duck Kaeng Phet the special with Sea Bass as mains. Both came hot and well presented but the Sea Bass wasn't fresh and as such very disappointing particularly as it was a special. It took the edge off of what was an otherwise very pleasant evening. Must try harder - The Fox.

The chairs in this restaurant are basically wooden frames with saggy middles, so if you want to leave in pain then sit here! I felt like I had been beaten across the back of my legs with a stick, had to take painkillers and lay down asap after we left, had only been here an hour too!
The staff are clueless here as well! They don't even sell Thai crackers, a basic in every Thai restaurant! They have Christmas baubles hanging up, in March. Dreadful jazz music playing in the background, no WiFi either.
The food quality is poor. Cold satay sauce with the chicken satay starter, the ribs were nice and meaty but tasteless. I asked for a finger bowl to go with my ribs, the waiter looked confused. A few minutes later he arrived with a huge (chipped) bowl of cold water, useless! Warm water with lemon would have been ideal, the cold water did nothing but leave me with cold wet greasy fingers.
We ordered a Pad Thai, main course and starter between us as our main course, the Pad Thai and stir fry chilli chicken arrived, but I had to wait 5 minutes for my satay, we were told the chef can only cook 2 dishes at a time, shocking! Not ideal unless you want to eat cold food.
The chilli chicken with basil was really bland, 3 chilli rating on the menu, but even a small child could eat this without noticing any heat. There were lots of mushrooms in the dish too, not mentioned on the menu.
I wouldn't eat here again, not even a free take-away. Pity such poor quality food and service seem to be rated highly in this area.

Relatively local to us as we live in Andover.
We bought a round of drinks, they chose our starters and mains from the board. We were surprised by the range of food available.
We had a selection of prawn cocktail, soup, pate and deep fried Camembert.
All the starters were a good size and tasted delicious.
The mains consisted of gammon and egg, trio of fish cakes with new potatoes, and pork.
Plenty of veg to go with main meal.
Those of us who could manage a pudding finished with Eton Mess, spotted dick and custard and salted caramel cake and ice cream.
Staff were very professional and friendly. Great service and def value for money.
Car park is ample size too.

My father and I visited the Plough for lunch on a Saturday. It was excellent - service was really friendly and thorough. Drinks were excellent (lovely G&T with high end tonic water) and the food - divine. I had the pork - absolutely beautiful. Would absolutely recommend and can't wait to go back.
