Beautiful hotel in a captivating city
Reviewed By Beautiful_life23We stayed two needs at the wonderful Tourath House and absolutely recommend it to other travellers who make it to wonderful Aleppo. It is located in a very atmospheric part of town, with so many wonderful restaurants very close, as well as the souk and citadel a 10 minute walk away. The inner courtyard really is something special, beautifully finished with a summer room, lanterns plants and staircases. The room was basic, but had an incredibly ornate wood panelled roof. Breakfast was decent each morning, but the other real highlight was the staff. Others have commented on them, but they really were incredibly helpful and welcoming, always willing to answer a query or make a recommendation. For $70 per night, Tourath House is THE place to stay.

Reviewed By Europa53Das wunderschöne Hotel liegt im christlichen Teil Aleppos und ist recht zentrumsnah. Es war das absolut beste Hotel auf unserer Rundreise durch das touristisch unterschätzte Syrien. Ein großer !!! Wohnraum mit Flatscreen, Kühlschrank und Tee-/Wasserkocher, ein supersauberes Bad mit Föhn, Seife, Haarwäsche etc. und ein langer Korridor - wir fühlten uns wohl. Hervorzuheben sind die wunderschönen Möbel, die wie Antiquitäten aussahen. In diesem Zimmer hatte man nicht das oft so beengte Gefühl europäischer Touristenschließfächer! Im 4 oder 5. Stock befindet sich ein schönes retsaurant mit sehr gut ausgebildeten Kellnern und einem herrlichen Blick auf die Stadt. Aleppo ist eine Reise wert, auch das ca. 30km nörlich befindliche Simonskloster (Simon der Säulenheilige).

Rumoroso e non molto pulito
Reviewed By rafmambodjAlbergo economico (~ 10 €/pax in camera doppia) situato in una zona caratteristica e non molto turistica dela città, non distante dallo Sheraton. Non male come posizione, sia per centralità che per "vivere" la città, ma scadente sia per servizi che per pulizia. Molte camere sono inoltre rumorose affacciandosi sulla strada principale, gremita di suoni e traffico. Adatto solo a viaggiatori che sanno "adattarsi".

decent budget option
Reviewed By MegSCLHanadi was reasonably priced (600 syrian pounds or $12 per person per night for a triple room). There are cheaper places in the immediate area, but we decided to play it safe as we read about Hanadi in the lonely planet. The room was basic, but fine. The bathroom had a squat toilet. It was fairly clean. Breakfast was included - the standard meal throughout Syria - egg, cheese, pita bread, olives and tea. The staff spoke English, were helpful, and friendly. The location is brilliant, right next to the centre of the new city (the clock tower), and a ten minute walk to the beginning of the old city.
