Four of us had a lovely dinner on the veranda with friends. We enjoyed entree share plates of dip and crudités, grilled nectarines and kefalograviera with figs. Cheese Kefalograviera was especially delicious and perfect with the nectarines.
We followed with grilled calamari, lamb and spatchcock. All were fresh and very tasty.
we also had the potatoes and green beans as sides. The only disappointment was the beans which were soggy and overcooked.
We found that sharing 3 mains and 3 small plates was the perfect amount for four of us.
Good selection of wine.

The Anglesea Golf Club provides a dining experience from the moment you walk in. Our welcoming and friendly staff will add to your overall experience. Our head chef's- Steve and his team are committed to create mouth watering dishes cooked fresh daily. Fillet Mignon, Lamb Rump and Guri's Indian Curry of the day are on our new menu. The wonderful view from the Bistro looking out onto the Golf course with Kangaroos close by can be enjoyed daily. Bookings are recommended as our bistro is strongly visited by our locals and holidaymakers. We look forward to welcome you one day!
came up with a few friends on the weekend. The meals were absolutely delicious, my fillet mignon was cooked perfectly. Every person in our group had a yummy-looking, big serving and were impressed with their meals. Waitresses were super friendly and happy to help us...MoreThank you so much for your feedback. I will pass on your feedback to all the staff in the Bistro. It was our pleasure to serve you and hope to see you again.

Offering great breakfasts, lots of lunch specials and really good pizza, Thai, steaks and fish in the evenings. Also has a deli section for goodies to take home. Bake their own sour dough breads on Saturdays and the fruit loaf is exceptionally good. Friendly staff and good service and prices.
Having sampled another Cafe's fare during a previous stay at Aireys Inlet it was time to give Truffles Restaurant / Café a go when the morning craving for caffeine came a calling.
Surprisingly larger on the inside than it first appears, the front verandah has been decked out with a varied selection of lounge chairs, couches & potted plants creating a most inviting atmosphere.
[ Much More than Coffee & Cakes]:
For what some may consider to be 'just a small seaside town Café', the menu is incredibly impressive with a large selection of dishes & styles from which to choose.
A range of Pizzas are available with guests offered both Gourmet & Traditional toppings. The Specials Board will advise of that days Steak & Oyster dishes whilst those wishing to add a side dish may like to include a Garden Salad, Roti Bread or Hot Chips.
Having learnt that they prepare meals for takeaway I continued to view the full Menu with that days dinner in mind. I must admit to being extremely impressed by the many Rice & Noodle Dishes, Stir Fry & Curries. Just to provide my fellow travellers with a sample they list: Nasi Goreng, Pad Thai, Seafood Laksa, Thai Green or Red Curry, Beef Rendang and Sambal Udang just to name a few.
[ Staff, Service, Cost & Internet Access ]:
At the time of my visit the staff were polite & friendly. As my interactions related only to takeaway items I can't really comment on the quality of the table service although I can say that I found my orders were ready reasonably quick.
Internet access is provided free of charge for those whom are actual paying customers of Truffles whilst the general public can use the on-site desk top computer to access the web for a fairly small fee.
When it comes to the food & beverages, the price for Cappucino's is comparable to other Cafes along the coast however I did find the price of my Singapore Noodles with a side serve of hot Chips to be quite costly at $27.00 for a standard sized takeaway plastic container.
[Summary]:
All in all the Truffles Restaurant / Café situated in Aireys Inlet has a lot on offer. Keeping in mind the addition of a deli section which includes Bakery products, Antipasto, Seafood & Regional Wines, there really does seem to be something here for everyone.
Whilst the prices are slightly elevated, this is common along the Great Ocean Road but if the tasty Singapore Noodles are anything to go by, this first taste of Truffles will not have been my last.
Thank you for Reading this review, I hope that it is helpful.

Nice place, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Quality of coffee depends on whether Tony is there to make it or not. Great if he is, roll the dice if he's not!!

Celebrated my 40th and wanted some chinese food. The waitress was very courtious and kind...and honestly the food was delicious but the portion sized and what you pay is rediculously off. $25 for an order of honey chicken and the portion size was tiny...i mean come on chicken is so cheap...load it up! Like i said food was good but felt completely rorted with the food portion sizes and rhe bill that followed. Will never go back or recommend anyone to go.

We didn't get a chance to eat but looked like a great variety of foods. Coffees were good and catered to all of our hipster coffee desires. Was a bit slow but we weren't too bothered. Beautiful and calming place to stop for a coffee. Gorgeous homeward store with beautiful items and gifts. Small food store as well.

Anglesea Pizza offers take away, Delivery and casual in house dining. Pizzas are made using fresh ingredients and offers chef prepared pastas
We ordered a Pizza called The Lot and it was delicious . We also had Garlic Bread and sat in to eat it. They were so busy for such a small place. We counted at least 8 staff and orders were coming in all the time we were there.
All the Pizzas are made fresh and some of the customers were obviously regulars.
Our order took about 15 minutes at the most. They also have lots of pasta dishes on the menu. They are licensed to sell alcohol but with a limited choice.
Definitely recommended.

Bar, Bistro and Brewery at the heart of the Great Ocean Road, Australia
This is a great spot for a pub. It's located on a rise with a view along the coast to the west. I went with friends for dinner on a couple of evenings while working at Anglesea nearby. There's a big grassy field where kids were playing cricket and generally mucking around, leaving the adults free to enjoy the views of the coast from the Terrace. The food is good basic pub food (chicken parma and fish and chips etc) and there's a good selection of wines by the glass and their own boutique beers brewed on the premises. I bought a mixed six pack to take home.

We enjoyed afternoon tea here whilst staying in the area. It was very busy and we had to have a seat inside as all the tables outside were taken.
Our tea and cream scones were delicious, although a bit on the small side. They had a good selection of cakes, biscuits and tray bakes to choose from.
The staff were pleasant and the service was good considering how busy they were.
Recommended.
