A wonderful break from pandemic induced anxiety
Reviewed By wiiizaOnce the travel restrictions was lifted we cant wait to take a break from our pandemic induced anxiety. Spending a weeek in Casanemo did just that. The moment we arrived we noticed how they ensure everything is disinfected and sanitized - and it give us peace of mind. The staff looked after us very well despite the resort running at half-capacity. The beach was wonderful as always, we felt relaxed, chilled, and de-stressed - now we’re ready to face reality again. Casanemo is an excellent local business that support livelihood of many, and I hope they survive this economic storm. I hope we can comeback!

Surf from dawn till dusk and walk back to the resort within 1 minute! The resort is close to a small beach, blue water, beautiful reefs and a lot of palm trees. Something very special about our resort is our private saltwater pool with sun deck and outside showers. It's paradise for surfers, but when you don't fancy a session or just don't surf...you can; hang out, relax, go fishing, snorkeling, make some incredible hikes on the island, visit waterfalls, go spearfishing, take a trip to the deserted island only a boat ride away, enjoy a boat trip inland or just cruise on your motorbike to soak up the culture of Simeulue and find beautiful and mostly deserted beaches around the island.

Reviewed By 247katevHad a wonderful stay at Simeulue. The lodge was really nice and clean. The location and view are beautiful and the service from Fadlan and Aan was great! Really super nice! Very nice place to surf, chill out and make nice trips. So if you are looking for a top spot in Indo, then Simeulue is definitely recommended!

I made different stops at other islands also, but came back here because I loved it so much: the property is really wel maintenanced, the cabin is lovely, I love the quintness there, and Mr. Jul and Mr. Rusman did a lovely job hosting me. And very important: the food of Mr Jul is very nice! I had a great time and highly recommand it!

Reviewed By Robin1952This has the potential to be amazing, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but like someone else commented we weren't so sure when we arrived. We had booked a standard bungalow for our first night because the delux one wasn't available on booking.com. At 600,000 Rp the standard bungalow was expensive by Indonesian standards, so we were shocked when we arrived to see there was barely enough room for the double mattress in it. The shared bathroom was what you would expect in a hostel where you were paying 150000 per night. Thankfully there was a delux bungalow available so we were able to go into it straight away. Like another reviewer commented, the sheets had blood spots on them, presumably from mosquito bites. We gave them the benefit of the doubt that they were stains rather than dirty so didn't complain. There were no chairs outside on the lovely deck, but when we asked Willi found us two plastic ones. The outdoor bathroom would have been perfect if the mirror had been clean and the old soaps not thrown on the sand. At $1,000,000 per night you would expect a higher standard of cleanliness. Another disappointment was that the description on the booking site said garden, bar and restaurant. There is really no garden, just scrubby land between the two sets of bungalows. Sand flies and mosquitoes are a pest. Having said that, the food was delicious, lots of fish and vegetables, and very reasonably priced. The island is gorgeous, the snorkelling good right off the beach. If Willi works at the small things he is on to a winner.

Room with very basic amenities and nothing much I can say.l Staff very polite. Breakfast basic but ok. WIFI at 4th floor not very strong (404 + 405). TV channel very good i think i love to watch the INDONESIA news. Location very ok, nearby to the mall, and warkop (Warung Kopi). Foods is recommended everywhere. I might love Acheh itself because of the history and very peaceful. Not much traffic. One thing i figure it out, the smell of the Tsunami yet still ...
