We visited Winter World for the day as part of our cruise excursion and we loved every minute of it. Winter World provide you with all the gear to ensure you are not cold and a free shot of flavoured vodka upon arrival from the Ice Bar. Our ticket included a husky sled ride - which we didn’t realise - and this was fantastic! The dogs were so lovely, and super excited to run, and the experience was great! There are lots of other activities to do also and the ice slide is fabulous! We had an hour here as part of our day and we loved every second of it!

Linnanmäki is an amusement park in Helsinki that is well worth visiting, and even if you don't want to ride, it is free to enter and sample the atmosphere. They even have nine FREE rides such as the 4D cinema, panorama sightseeing tower, carousel and a number of rides for small children. For the thrill-seekers there are eight roller coasters to try out ranging from the historic 1951 wooden scenic railway to the brand new attraction Taiga, which is attracting rave reviews from roller coaster enthusiasts and is definitely worth a try. The rides and attractions can be enjoyed using individual ride tickets, books of tickets or wristbands, and the lines are generally quite short so you can really get your money's worth. As city parks go, this is one of the best in Europe, and is highly recommended if you enjoy thrill rides or want to treat the family to some good old-fashioned fun. The park can be accessed on foot via public transport with a Hop On Hop Off bus stop 10 minutes walk away near the Olympic stadium, and city buses and trams stop close by. The main railway station is 15 minutes walk from the park.
