A hidden gem in Bali
Reviewed By Reneevanrens28We stayed for 2 nights at Adila Homestay & Warung and we almost wished we could stay longer! Adila and her husband are the nicest people you ever meet and they will help you with every question you have. The rooms are beautiful, with a cute pool on the terrace and a breathtaking view on the hills. The warung itself is great. Everything we tasted was delicious - from breakfast to dinner. We strongly recommend choosing the special menu: a great introduction in Balinese cooking!

Nice view, no sleep
Reviewed By 30SomethingdiffDon't get me wrong, this is not a bad place to spend some time in Munduk. The breakfast is good, the room we had (top floor) was OK and the view is amazing. But we stayed at much better places in Bali for less! The big downside to this place is the fact that you need to be a very sound sleeper or have amazingly good ear plugs. Because the road next to the homestay is a hill; motors and cars are making loud noises the whole night through to go up and around 4 the roosters start. Not 1 or 2, but more than a dozen. I never fancied eating chicken more than ever... There is also no warm shower. Please keep this info in mind when you read other reviews that are claiming it is the best place to stay.

Reviewed By Anikev1Fantastische lokatie. Heerlijk rustig tussen de rijstvelden. Kamer is zeer schoon. Fijn bed. De temperatuur is hier heerlijk. Er is een fan op de kamer. Ruim voldoende omdat het niet heet wordt. De gastvrouw is geweldig. Ze spreekt goed Engels en doet alles voor je. Je kunt ook bij haar een kookles volgen. Doen!! De homestay ligt wat afgelegen dus je bent aangewezen op het eigen restaurant. Prima maar kleine keuze. Als je op zoek bent naar een familiair gevoel op het plattenland en houd van rust dan is dit jóuw plek. We hebben genoten.

Beautiful time in nature - incredibly, so rare in Bali!
Reviewed By Simone1000Loved being hosted by Ursula at Bali Eco Village. Google Maps got me there easily and it was an adventure to find the way. I enjoyed some of the loveliest food while staying there - breakfast always fresh fruit and delicious bread and jams. The omelette was excellent. Dinner was a cap cay or a bihum (best Ive ever had!) Location was stunning. Lovely walks, welcoming greeting but the two house dogs Lilly and Lulu. Bungalow rooms were very comfortable and good showers, kettle in the room. Very spacious and a delightful fireplace. Ursula was an absolute gem and I felt like I was one of the family. I want to return just to see her! I usually take my own non-dairy milk with me as I drink A LOT of tea and there was no refrigerator onsite. This is because it is a true eco-retreat and makes a lot of sense. So just don’t take items that need a ride with you! NOTE: all the food was incredibly fresh - this is a just a helpful note for travellers. Wifi it should be noted was available in the lounge & dining area only. I do believe in non-covid times this may change but needs to be stated for future travellers so they can prep for it. Highly recommend a few nights stay here for some peace and tranquility on the side of a mountain! PS Take a jumper! Night time gets cool! AWESOME!

Would recommend to anyone considering staying in Munduk. Great central location and only short distances from waterfalls and rice terraces. Would definitely stay here again.

Great, Friendly Hosts

The owner is SO friendly and constantly greets you with fresh fruits from the garden, tea, and makes lovely breakfasts. His staff are so nice as well. You really do feel like family. The warungs next door are also really tasty and the service is incredible. You are away from Munduk, but it is really peaceful here and great if you have a motorbike. The gardens are beautiful. Rooms are spacious and clean. The only cons are that the hot water is not reliable and the wifi is very slow. I needed wifi to work for a few days. They realized how important this was and drove me into town and made sure I had wifi connection AND a beautiful view (it was very important to them that I worked with a view). We did a full day tour that was also really amazing! To temples, rice terraces, all over. We sampled different fruits and enjoyed hanging out. It was really relaxing and fun! Stay here if you want to disconnect, feel like family, and see a more local side of Bali!

Reviewed By Will LBasic rooms but with everything you need. The views are absolutely spectacular and you can see for miles and miles. Best of all is the staff - incredibly friendly and helpful. Ketut drove us to different places in the day and the evening, and took us for hikes to waterfalls and other places. Above and beyond anything we ever expected. Even invited us round to his house for home grown coffee! Great place.
